Catastrophic Coolant Hose Coupling Failure Registry
I would like to limit this registry to strictly people who have had this problem. It would be great to see just how expansive this issue really is. This is a serious problem and could easily result in a fatality under the right circumstances. Please avoid discussing the problem and post questions etc elsewhere so that the thread does not get diluted.
The posts should read as follows: Year: Model: Mileage: Circumstances surrounding failure: Specific Coupling: Repair Solution: |
2007

996 GT3 2004 in 2006 blew the fitting out of the driver's side of the coolant pump on track at around 18,000 miles. Same car in 2008 blew the right side fitting out on track at around 24,000 miles.
Based on observations at my regions DEs it seems that all of the 2004 GT3's blow a coolant line sooner or later. |
