Vince is probably too shy , but he is the event I was referring to last week at Calabogie. The common fitting on the power steering pump assembly.

Vince, how many km on your car?

Seb, make sure to come back here to let us know once you find out what let go.

Ok Francois, I am off the couch now. I was just enjoying my time off on the beautiful Mt Tremblant for the week, seeing that I couldn't be on the track.

Coolant fitting came loose going into turn 8 at Calabogie. I was driving a tight to the apex "racing" line, and thankfully the person behind was driving the "DE" line so he had time to avoid the spill.

540 degree spin into finally ending in the dirt. No damage to the body of the car, but it had to be towed off track. Francois correctly diagnosed the water pump assembly hose coming loose.

51000 km on car.

In for service tonight with complete system flush. I will update with any news later this week. Obviously going to water wetter.

Now that I have lost 4 days of track, I need to find replacements in September.

Going to have "talk" with the dealer tomorrow.

997GT3.2: To clarify, was this an engine fitting or one located in the nose of the car? If so, this is the second documented instance of that type of failure on a .2 but I don't believe there have been any engine press fit couplings as yet. Either way, sucks and sorry to hear about it.

Same happened to me at the same track and did the same repair.

Picture should be rotated to the left one step or 90 degrees counter clock wise.
