I was bidding on the 997.2 grey RS flood on Copart last week… if I had known he was going to make these vids I would have been more aggressive!

I loved following this thread and videos. How awesome. You saved yourself 100k by taking some risk and initiative. Outstanding.
Ironically, if the former owner did the same thing as you did instead of totaling it, he could still have the car running after spending a few hundred bucks and the car would have a clean title and no one would be the wiser.

how's the underbody look? I think you said its as fresh water... curious if any abnormal corrosion or issues when you pull the belly pans off. Brake piston corrosion, bearings, etc.... and yeah dropping all the fluids would be a good thing to do.

very cool to see it come back together. DAMN FUSES!

One of my favorite threads on RL. You did an excellent job narrating your work and certainly showcased your skills and determination. Truly fascinating you're into the repairs for under 1K. Well done, enjoy that beast.

Thanks for making the GT forum interesting again. What a great follow. A bit disappointed it's over but I'm sure you're not.

You're comment about 'probably' selling the red one and keeping the RS was surprising. What's there to think about?? Of course you're keeping the white one and selling the red one!

A video suggestion would be a complete brake caliper rebuild with a repaint. Also, my car's pinned but I'm sure a top-to-bottom motor-out pinning video would be cool.

BTW, I was also very impressed with the timeframe you got this all done. Would've taking me months to get to all the different areas you worked in. I'm assuming this is a hobby of yours and not an occupation?

Congrats on striking gold here! Regarding the carpets, I would 100% pull them and make sure everything underneaths is fully dried out. You could thoroughly shampoo the carpets in the process. Enjoy the new ride!

Looking forward to seeing you soon and meeting the car. I have been craving some of your coffee since AA, and CooRS of course.
Thanks Ryan !!
The next video has coffee and also banquet references lol
