I loved following this thread and videos. How awesome. You saved yourself 100k by taking some risk and initiative. Outstanding.
Ironically, if the former owner did the same thing as you did instead of totaling it, he could still have the car running after spending a few hundred bucks and the car would have a clean title and no one would be the wiser.

I was genuinely thrilled for you when I watched the video of you driving around with no CEL indicators and the sweet sound of the Mezger.

yes, the plan is to drive it. I already put 450+ miles on the car since getting it back together and not a single issue so far
