very nice! I think you have the lowest mileage mint RS as anyone in the forums… so glad things worked out, def one of those ah shucks moments.

Which PPF did you end up choosing?

Thanks! And thanks for connecting me with the seller. I'll have to do a separate thread on the "restoration" after I pick up the car on Saturday.

Went with Xpel Ultimate Plus on the entire car.

Yeah, should have done this awhile back but didn't realize how bad the old air filter was.

Never was into this wooden shift know on the water-cooled cars but I have to say, I'd rock that. Looks amazing in that interior. I'm a convert! Also, was this taken with a phone camera because it doesn't look like it. Maybe you added lighting.

I agree, I was never much a fan outside of air-cooled cars. But with the painted center console and the brushed aluminum base matching pretty
closely to the aluminum look on the steering wheel, radio bits, and pedals, the wood contrasts nicely.

These photos are taken on a Leica Q2. I don’t use my phone for photos generally because the colors are way too altered.

This is extraordinary attention to detail! Love it.

How much of a difference did the FF cable ends make? I haven’t even got to drive mine yet post-installing OEM cables, but I know I’m not going back to Cup.

Very nice. Do you have a google doc with part numbers that you used?

Thank you!

Thank you! Tedious stuff is pretty fun. Always turns into “while I’m in there…”.
I’ve only driven it once & about 20 miles since the install. But from what I noticed it’s very subtle in any change it made.
I have the Heavy **** pieces in my stock shift **** which I think made more of a difference.
0 increase in NVH. Having used cup cables and numeric on other cars before; the stock cables, **** weights, and the FF cable ends make what I consider one of the best shifter feel of any cars- losing only to gated shifters. The wooden **** needs more weight to come close to that but it’s not a difficult swap here and there if I decide to keep it for a while (purely aesthetics). But for the price, peace of mind, and ease of installation I would recommend the cable ends to anyone.

Sure do! Will post it up when I’m back home this evening.
