Gave her the garage to herself, brake master cylinder replacement, and then made myself mildly nauseous testing the brakes on backroads.

Where did you get the decals? I want the same ones in black. I like the addition in red on yours and matching the rear emblem. Nice job.

Here they are in black, a dollar less than the red ones. I went with the 6" versions.

Its that time again for CA didlo smoggins!
Went back to OEM tune, tried to get all the sensors to set. Was left with EVAP and AIR. Started going through the daily drive cycles and a pending DTC popped up P2195 biased/stuck/lean o2 bank 1 o2 sensor. Did not have this prob before while on 3.9 tune, coincidence? FAK!

P2195 could be due to an exhaust leak or failed pre cat o2. Put her up on the stirrups and proceeded to torque the manifolds, all was well. So I was about to place my order for a new pair of pre-cat O2's but would not be here until Friday when I remembered I had an OEM set of manifilds from my sons Cayman S with sensors! I opened up the container and pulled them out, removed to O2 and installed on the RS. Started her up and closed loop signals are all good so far. Now need to go through the motions with getting the sensors to set.

Replaced the old leather seat inserts with new Alcantara inserts + new foam courtesy of Gert, finally adjusted harness to fit, and changed the oil. Now I understand what you lot mean about how fast the oil comes out of the pan/sump!

I sourced mine from Gert @ Carnewal, seems a very well-known quantity round here and I was happy with the purchase. Worth noting that at least for my 996 buckets the inserts were good but not-quite-OEM fit; the photo gives you a fair representation. However quality- and matching-wise (to the OEM fabric) I'm perfectly pleased. And the lower seat foam replacements I bought were OEM Porsche.

Loads of P1 Designs round here and they do offer more customization (pattern, extra foam, etc.) albeit at higher prices, but don’t do 996 buckets so weren’t an option for me.

Installed buddy’s momo wheel to try it out. Stock (380mm) is too big. Looking at a 991.2 gt3 steering wheel (365mm). This momo is 350mm and god does it feel good and responsive. Love the dish as it comes out nicely making for a great driving position.

I did the MOMO swap in my .1GT3 and I absolutely love it. I makes driving a GT3 feel like what a GT3 is supposed to be. IMO, the stock steering wheel looked like it belongs in a standard 911.

Yes, you lose the airbag if this change is made.
