Religious oil change on the .2RS, every year no matter the miles 10 or 100...lol
Reset service indicator and aired up the tires as well.

The Hazet tool trolley is for my Porsche specific tools only.

Also had a 4 post installed so I can stuff more cars.

Oil changes are more satisfying when you put 3,000 - 5,000 of driving between them.

That means I'd have to drive 30k miles per year between them all, I don't commute and I'm not retired. My seat time is spread around.

Track prep part 2.

991 RoW buckets, harnesses, BK harness truss.

Hit me up if you’re ever trying to install BK anti-sub bars on RoW buckets. Cuz it’s really damn frustrating and requires a bunch of workarounds.

Thanks. Didn’t realize how much a refresh would “brighten” the whole car up. Those are painted. I think it’s a little harder to match the original factory paint with powder coat (or so I’m told).

I following your post in the 997 section. Does this mean ROW 991 Buckets sit low then 997 US buckets?

I don’t know that they sit lower, but I’ve never sat in 997 US buckets. They are substantially “taller” than the 18-ways, but I think I’ll acclimate. The main issue is that the electronics on these are a good bit different than the 997s with passenger occupancy sensors (which is what the BK kit was designed for). The 997 passenger bucket was particularly annoying. Had to use a stack of spacers and extended bolts to clear the adjustment lever.

I would suggest using Cantrell Motorsports 987/997 Sport Seat Sub-Belt mounts with ROW 991 seats. They are a bolt on and work fine with the occupancy sensor and other minor updates to use these in US cars with airbag support. Take a look here:https://rennlist.com/forums/718-foru...l#post18354369

Thanks, Chris. I scoured, but didn’t find that thread. I spoke with Cantrell this morning while still scratching my head about the BK bars. I did finally figure it out, though, so I’m okay to keep the BKs installed. Had I known what a pain it would be, I’d for sure have gone with something known to fit. BK customer service still hasn’t gotten back to me even after a lengthy explanation email.

Also figured out the airbag sensor workaround mid-install from other posts, and I’ll probably go that route down the road. For the time being, I just needed these installed with harnesses to keep track prep momentum. Doing a comprehensive alignment and ride height overhaul this weekend.

My shop sent the coolant housing and stainless steel pipes to get threaded, it’s not a common way compared to welded or pinned.
I think this is the proper way that Porsche should’ve done it, because when everything puts together the pipes sits flash in the housing like a factory parts, you wont see any weld bits or pinning screws.
THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION, NOT CRITICIZING ANYTHING

Exactly. The passenger 997 US sec seat sits ~1” taller because of the airbag weight sensors that sandwich in between the seat rails. 997 ROW passenger seat doesn’t have them. ROW & US driver’s seats sit at the same height. In one of the GT2 folding bucket seat threads I posted a picture of the two seats side by side to show the difference. It stands to reason that the same is true between 997 US & 991 ROW folding bucket seats.

Going from memory here but I don't think US folding buckets sit higher on the passenger side. If anything, I noticed that the 991 ROW buckets are slightly more reclined and maybe a bit higher than the 997 version. I prefer a more vertical seating position and notice the 991 ROW version is slightly too relaxed for me, compared to the 997 seats.

I think @Body In White is actually correct about the passenger US seat height. See this post: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...l#post18580804

If those sensors were present on all US passenger buckets, it would definitely be about an inch taller. It also explains why the BK bar wouldn't clear the RoW seat without the added height . . .

Same for me. The ROW 991 buckets (folding) sit higher, and slightly more reclined. I had to install the Cantrell mounts and in the lowest setting, sits pretty high. I miss my sofas but the seats do look cool.
