Owner looking for a no-hassle sale drives to the Porsche dealer. They offer him $xx,xxx. Goes over to CarMax, within 30 minutes of arrival, they offer him $5K more. Done.
Worth more if he sells it himself, sure, but most folks have very little capability or tolerance for dealing with private buyers.

997 Turbo that is for sale, near me. If someone is interested I could go and look at it for them.

Godawful interior and exterior combo.

I traded my 2011 Carrera GTS on an RS5 recently, so it's now for sale at Audi Bellevue (Seattle area). PM me if you're looking at it and I can answer questions that the dealer might not be able to. They're asking $71k.
2011 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS
Mileage: 25,936
Transmission: PDK
Exterior Color: Platinum Silver Metallic
Interior Color: Black
Extras: DSC Sport Controller, Escort 9500ci, Dashcam
Ad: http://www.audibellevue.com/used/Por...6f6f9e2173.htm
Build sheet: http://badbit.net/~wago/porsche/2011...rera%20GTS.pdf
If you buy it, I'll also be selling a set of nearly-new centerlock winter wheels & tires and an OE Porsche roof transport system, I'll make the buyer a great deal.

why did you downgrade to RS5? If I were you and looked for 4 seats sports sedan, I would have considered M3 instead of RS5...just my 2 cents.
#1403
No question that the M3 is a better track car.

In the Seattle area, especially if you want to head up to ski every now and then, quattro is a huge plus. The 911 actually did pretty well with the rear engine and winter tires, but an M3 around here can get squirrelly when the roads get slick. Also, tons of M3s on the roads, not that many RS5s.
No question that the M3 is a better track car.

I haven't driven the RS5, but had an S5 awhile back that a friend loaned me. Even with the "sport" package, 6MT, that thing was a boat!

If that were a manual, you could have sold it here in a day for your asking price! Nice car

Moral of the story: shop around! The above situation makes zero sense: Porsche dealers are having trouble getting good inventory, so why lowball and lose a great car that they likely could have easily made $10k on, in a week? Really, their overhead is such that if they don't make a good $15,000 on a used car, they don't want it?

Question, does it happen to have a clear bra on it? And overall how is the condition?
#1408
Clear bra: Yes, older install. Good condition on most of the car, but some dirt creeping in around the corners on the rear view mirrors.
Overall condition: Good, daily driver, I think one rock chip on one rear fender. Window tint peeling on driver window, needs to be redone. Not a show car.
Also forgot to mention, I installed the ($900!) auto dimming aspherical rear view mirrors imported from Europe (thanks, Suncoast!) which remove blind spots. So, you get those as well.
Maintenance: Did the 40k major service and replaced the PCM head unit in Feb under warranty. Did a full brake job (rotors, pads, fluid) in March, including all those $$ Porsche centerlock bits.
I did two track days. If you want to watch a novice driver passing a few other cars:

How about this rennlister's car? If you search his VIN on rennlist you'll find out whose it is. If I were closer I would consider it. It's got better options than the one I'm pending on.
