Am I missing any good places to find a car? Currently using a few forums and Autotrader/Cars.com. Looking for a blue/red/white 997.1/2 S. 6spd. Any suggestions?

Keep an eye on the Porsche used car locator, especially if you're looking for CPO. Many of the cars there don't make it to autotrader.

CarMax occasionally has nice 997s for sale. You can have one shipped to your closest location and they have a decent extended warranty that is relatively inexpensive.

Debating selling my well-equipped 6SP 997.2 C2S in favor of keeping my 993 C2S - would have to be a strong offer if anyone's interested. Had an offer from another rennlister for $49k in the winter that didn't go through because of financing.

Although there are exceptions to the general rule, a Porsche 997 would not end up at CarMax (especially if purchased through auction) if it was a great car. Look at these carefully and measure or check paint carefully even if clean Car Fax. Also, wear items and services needed that are costly can cause a car to end up at auction or at a CarMax.
Right now, Porsche and high end dealers want 997s, particularly 997.2s, as they are hot items when in great shape.
Just saw this, but I need more than an hour to consider spending $60K; if this 997.2 Turbo goes for anything like this price, I will be amazed, and a little depressed. Love this car!
That's a .1 Turbo, not a .2. Looks like a pretty good deal for the buyer. If that had been posted on Rennlist, the ask would have probably been in the $70s.
No, I did not bid. Need more than an hour to make a decision like that. Now I see that it is a .1 Turbo which was still a great deal, but it's a tiptronic; if I ever go for one, it will be a .2 so I can have the PDK.

Agreed, but I wouldn't totally discount them if you find something that looks interesting. The previous owner of my recently-purchased 997 purchased it at CarMax, and it's an absolutely beautiful example.
