Interested at a hot deal price? Absolutely. Cash and ready to go.
Interested at a market-correct private sale price? Possibly.
Interested at an dreamer seller price? Not at all.

Perhaps actually listing your ask would help narrow it down a bit?

nice. Ever notice how 90% of the cars listed for sale around here are at high dealer retail? They don't sell, then the owner ends trading it in for 7K less than they were asking? If they would have asked 3000 over trade-in, it would've sold in a matter of days. I've never really understood why anyone would post a car for sale On a highly knowledgeable enthusiast forum and expect to get dealer retail, (outside of a collectible car of course)

So true. I think the hype and demand around these cars are getting sellers to be too optimistic, followed by impatience.

I was just curious as to what the actual demand was for a pristine 997.2 with relatively low mileage, in a rarer color combo. Not the standard black on black. Anyway, KBB says $54,900 private party excellent condition. I would take $59k minimum. So, maybe I'm too optimistic. In which case I will just keep rubbing her with a diaper.

From the TT forum, a nice looking 6mt .1TT with 72k miles, adaptive sport seats, PCCBs, LSD, nice color, for just $57k:

Pretty great deal IMO if the maintenance checks out and the brakes are in good shape.

Don't let $5k stand between you and a GT3...

$59 for an 09 2S? Someone may pay it, but not this someone. You apparently don't really want that GT3.

If someone offers you 54k for an 09 C2S take it and run.

I'm patient. I have plenty of time.

I think you underestimate the demand for a clean low mileage 997.2. A black on black 09 C2S with 23k miles sold here for over $60k recently.

Regardless, I'm confident prices will go up over the next 5-7 years. If not, I still love this car too much to let it go for anything less.

*exactly* the kind of seller I was referring too.... "Feeler: I'll sell you my car if you offer me far more than market value..."
