Shame is we’ll probably never know what it actually sells for. These guys have two potential “outliers” in inventory. The $100k+ GTS and this one. It is as rare as they come. Beautiful car.

suspect asking price might be high but unicorns

more interested in the data point to help fill in the picture in this admittedly thin market. Good time to be putting a car like that on the market. Kind of a sellers market when it comes to these unicorns.

$90,000 ask for a 2007 C2S. X51. FGM/Terracotta. Öhlins. BBS LM.

If they get their ask then I need to seriously consider selling my 997.2. Similar mileage, similar suspension, similar wheels (stock rims also included.)

I love my car but if I could sell it for $90k I’d roll that money into a 991 GT3.
Or a 2007 GT3, also at Udrive, for the bargain price of $129k 2007 GT3 $129k and it ain't an RS

The green car is a stunner. It sits so nice and the wheels are fabulous. But it's still a big ask.

Orange and green....true Halloween colors!

Was going to ask the same. I think people are underestimating the impact of not only a unique, but fantistic color and how rare an X-51 kit is (not to mention the wheels, interior etc) . I'm the first to call a car overpriced, but I think this one is actually fair.
it's all subjective.

Goodluck Sechsgang. I owned this car for about 3 years. Did all the mods up til what you see now. I'm glad it's getting some attention now. No expense spared under my ownership. I'm sure you'll love it.

perhaps, but this car is unusually unique, from the color combo down to the wheels and the x51 and all the stuff in between. You don’t see cars like this come up frequently. . . Not sure what else to call it. Perhaps incredibly unique and attractive?

Nah, in English shorter is always better even if it leads to yo over use a word

Note will accept suggestions on synonyms to avoid over using the word in the future ;-)

Gotta be honest. It's too painful to count the !!!!, especially in RED. A classier ad could help.

Full service including new plugs & updated coil-packs right before I sold it to the previous owner last year. Paint correction was done prior full PPF on entire car except the spoiler lip, which was brand new supplied with the car. Had a black one on there for driving purpose. I replaced the PCM unit because the old one had scratches on the face. Couldn't live with it. New AC buttons too. Replace the driver seat bolster with Porsche Terracotta leather & matching stitching. Bolster was beat when I got the car. There may be here & there I did but not worth mentioning.

I was offered to buy it back but once I let it go the mind is set. For those commented on the price, I agree it’s high but why not shoot the sky & see where it lands. For the right buyer this is worth what the individual is willing to pay. We shall see.

Sweet car. Those thinking this is high may not be familiar with Sloan. Nothing is cheap at Sloan, but they used to have the best older cars and unusual cars.. I purchased my 993tt S from Richard Sloan cars back in 2002ish. First class operation and people with first class cars.

Arling, did you trade it and what did you get in its place?

As to any buyer that's going to add another 911 to an existing 911 collection would see it completely different than who is only looking for only one 911 to own. Everyone wants good deal, but there's no deal on good 911, period.

Love to read the comments here or FB saying one would rather spend the money on a GT3 because it's GT3 money. That's a false statement because a similar mileage, condition, spec GT3 in any generation simply does not exist in this price range. Then you look around the 993, 964 even the 911 market, nothing you can touch in this price range for a similar mileage, condition, spec. They are not better car to own, not more fun to drive, Will still cost a fortune to own, just a total different 911 driving experience.

Agree w/ you on the GT3.. Everything I've read and listened from current GT3 owners has convinced me that it's a different driving experience and not one that I am looking for. Horses for courses. . . Suspect a different pool of buyers would be interested in this one vs. a GT3, even if you could get one for same $'s. . .

Agree. Its also usually the guys that have little or no experience driving or have never even been in a GT3 making such statements as well. I have 100s of track hours in 996 GT3s and 997 1 and.2 GT3s and have never once in my life felt compelled to purchase a GT3 for the street. My track cars since 996 days were GT3 Cup or F Challenge cars so never one considered purchasing any street legal GT3. GTS or Turbo is just as good, if not better, for public streets IMO.

Keyboard buyers, Doug. Timing didn't lineup precisely but if had to be it then it was 996 GT3.

I've gone through a handful of GT3 & GT3RS from 996 to 991. Never felt comfortable with any 997 GT3 variants including RS4.0, Would have & should have kept that one though only for collecting purpose. The notchy shifting just killed it for me, for my street use.

If I were to pick 3 997s to keep, my choice would be 997.1 GT2, 997.2 GT3RS4.0, 997.2 Sport Classic. Wouldn't mind to have a GTS for daily... yeah that's greedy.

You have had some good ones. The GTS is a great daily driver. May miss it when my 992 Turbo get here, but no garage space for it then.
