I figured that there was something fishy about it... I half thought about contacting the poster for fun and seeing what kind of nonsense would result. I love the fact that it is a PDK and also a 6 speed manual...

I'm hoping to purchase my first Porsche at some point in the next 3-5 years. My first choice is 997S .2 is the better choice but I'm not sure they'll be in my price range. Without much digging I am starting to see what look like good examples of .1s though for low-mid 40s.

What is realistic to expect to pay for a 997.1 S with say 30-40k miles on it?

I would say 40 give or take 10k depending on options, history, title, etc.

BTW Guys...Went to see the 2012 Red GTS I posted about yesterday... I told them I knew a good bit about the history of the car (Ads and info y'all found). They have also tried to get CarFax to change the accident listing since it was only ONE accident that wasn't reported / fixed for a few months. They can't seem to get anything done on it.

Anyway... They have $51,000 in it plus other cost (shipping, etc).... Seems the lowest they'd take was around $56K so they'd still make some money..

I didn't even bother trying to drive it. Moving on.

Hi 30's, maybe a touch more if it has really desirable stuff like PSE, sport seats, full leather, manual. There are several for sale here for low 40's with that kind of mileage and it has been awhile since I have seen a sale. High 30's is typically where the move, especially as a dealer will only offer $35 on such a car.

A nice black, one-owner 2006 with great options and only 24k miles was posted up here not too long ago, at $44,500. That is a fair price. For some of these lower optioned cars (like the one from "ilikeyourmom" with more mileage), I would be happy paying $37-38 if everything checks out. Get a good PPI. Otherwise, a "good deal" may not be as it appears.

Right or wrong, factory aero kit cars command a premium. I would pay the premium for the right car. If this one is clean and no paint work or previous damage and services are up to date . . ., $49k is a good price.

The factory aero kit car will always be more liquid and command more $$$. Me personally, I would pay the premium for factory kit and would discount the car with later installed aero kit.
