Yep, all things being equal otherwise.

From my car search, a 997.1 C2S is about 10-15k less than a 997.2 C2. I think a 997.1 C2S is a better bang for the buck over a 997.2 C2 assuming both cars have same options, condition and mileage. I have the opportunity to drive both and the performance difference is not worth the extra $$ IMO.

From what I have seen, a good private party deal on a 997.2 C2 or C4 is mid 40's with around 30,000 miles. You can get a 997.1 C2S for $40k or less with a similar build. Still, the .2 will hold value at least as well, if not better, and is considered the more reliable car. 997.1 models are still dropping in value, with prices slipping down under $40k in most instances. .2 values have been steady or have increased the past 2 years.

The problem is finding a .2! All things considered, you will get your $5k back and more most likely.

Agree on all accounts. I'm hoping the 997.1 will depreciate even more as I'm in the market for a C2S or C4. Check out this 997.2, it is a base model but has low mileage. Too bad it's too far from me.

That one shows that an accident has been reported.

True, I wonder how severe the accident was.

Hey guys,
The above mentioned car is my car. As for the bumper, this was replaced as a cosmetic preference to suit my tastes. If you do a search for Turbo Front Bumper, or view any of my historical posts, you'll see the progression, install and comments on this project. There is nothing to hide.

If I had posted my car on this forum, which I may when I return home from traveling, I would go into detail of the install and post more pictures. If you're interested, please PM me. I have a few local interests in the car, but may go ahead and post in the forum classifieds this weekend.

Here is a very nice 997.1 C2S. You don't see many 6 speed PRG's these days. That PORSCHE emblem in the rear needs to go. Since this car is located in Houston, I wonder if it was Hurricane Harvey flip.

Nice looking 07 TT on BaT:

It looks familiar, maybe it's a Rennlister's? Regardless, it seems like 997TTs sell somewhat cheaply on that site, usually realistic market value at max.

This car is a 2011 so that makes it a 997.2. Indeed a nice car for a great price. I like the interior color but the exterior green is a complete turn off and a deal breaker for me. I would take any color over this green.

Yes, my mistake. I'm the opposite. haha If it had black interior, I would really consider purchasing it. It's a nostalgic color similar to the British and American racing greens.

Nice car, about as base as you can get though... doesn't even have adaptive seats. Should sell for $70-75k. Looks like it has an exhaust as well? Wonder if it has any paint work etc.

Wheel offset is spot on for that car.
