997s deals around the interwebz (no affiliation)

This guy just popped up local to me... 2009 base 997.2 - 6 speed - only 33k miles - asking $43.9... its tempting as not many 6-speed coupes have been for sale lately and this is a local low mileage car.
Ruby Red is not my first choice of color but I do like it. Sand beige might be my least favorite 997 interior, very plain. What do you all think?

I also noticed this car. Since asking price is below market I would have to go and look at it in person and see what's up. After that do PPI. They are calling it Guards red but I agree it looks like Ruby. There was a car in Florida priced similar to this last year and I had another guy take a look at it for me. Even though the pics looked good he said the paint and interior were rough and advised that I pass. On the other hand it might check out and be a good deal.

One other unusual thing was they originally had a few quick cell phone snap shots posted and I thought the wheels were gold. They may have changed the wheels. Not that that is necessarily an issue but seemed strange. The pics were not at much of an angle and was hard to get a good look at them.

Is that a gold badge out back? I don't think I've ever seen that. Besides maybe changing that out and the steering wheel I think this is a really sharp car. More on the classic 911 side than the aggressive sport side. nice price.

$82k 2012, 13,000 miles -- his number is 716-863-6934
quite pricey indeed, especially when when 991 C4S's with power kits and lots of options are going for $85k

I think my issue is that at mid $70s you are competing with 997 Turbo's (even though I do want a PDK car). For $80k+ you are entering 997 GT3 territory and even higher mileage GT4 money. Both of those cars I think would be even better weekend cars than a GTS.

After looking at KBB, most GTS's should sell for mid $60's, I'm not sure why private parties and dealers think they can get mid to upper $70s. I'll keep my eyes open for a clean GTS but likely if it is, they will want over market value which I'm not paying for. If I were to pay close to $80k, I would spend a little more and buy a GT4.

That will be either a 1 day sale or a 100 day sale. There was a 991 C2S manual with the same build; aerokit, all performance options, CPO, 13k miles for a 2013 at Porsche Tysons, and it was for sale for 6 months. I think they sold it for $72k!
It certainly will be a special buyer who picks this up. I personally love the color, but 99% of buyers will pass. There is a Macadamia brown GT3 for sale over on the forums now; it is stunning.

I’m thinking of selling my 2009 997.2 C4S. It’s a coupe in Basalt Black with Sand Beige Interior. It’s got sports chrono and it’s a six speed. Mileage is 42 k, and 30 and 40k service was done at Porsche of Tyson’s. Mods are x pipe with BMC filters and FVD tune. Also has Numeric shifter, and I have the cables but not installed yet. Also has navigation with XM and Bluetooth. I added the checkered Black and Tan coco mats. I have the OEM cover as well. When I list the price will be 55k, it’s on Max Care till 70k Miles or 22 more months which I think I can transfer. I’m on travel now so PM me if you have questions and I’ll gets pics by the 27th when I get back from X mas trip. Oh I did a new battery last year too. Tires and brakes have plenty of life left on them. Last time dealers in DC had a similar 997.2 C4S they listed it at 62k. It’s not a garage queen but I used a Griots orbital buffer and Meguiers mild cut polish and yellow wax last week and it came out great. I did not use the buffer on the bumper as to not get ESD to cook the front control module. That was done by hand. Two keys and all manuals and leather binder included.
