I had H&R Springs installed on my 1999 996 C2 when I bought it in 2003.
I sold that car 2 years ago.
Didn't notice any sag in the 10 years that I owned that 996.
For me the ride quality was fine for a lowered car.

I now have a 997.2 with the H&R springs as well.
Car is lowered 1.5" from stock all around and the ride
quality is better that my old 996.1.

At some point it may come down to installing H&R, but I will at least give Eibach a chance to correct the issue.
I Hope this is an isolated issue. If not, I guess I'll go with H&R. IMO H&R looks the best, but I'm just afraid it will be a pain to maneuver around NYC potholes and the ridiculous uneven roads.

I have a pretty steep driveway that has dragged some of my other cars--another reason I went with Eibach. I will post pictures when done.

Please do. I went with Techarts, but I admit that it could be simply a marketing gimmick since I was not able to locate any stats on the difference between Eibach and Techarts for our cars. I was concerned about H&Rs being to low with even less travel on the shocks, but still recognize that others swear by H&Rs.

How much lower did the Techarts take you from stock? If I recall yours is a Base 997 non-PASM like mine correct?

Correct. Base non-PASM. I think about an inch. I did not take "before" measurements because I forgot to, but all indications point to an inch based on the measurements. I've seen cars lowered with H&R and my car is definitely not as low as those. My "after" measurements seem consistent with others.

My after measurements with Eibach (997.1 PASM car) are similar to yours.

In the interest of accuracy, I took measurements from floor to fender through the center of the axle with a ruler to do away with the bending that happens with a tape measure.

Rear:

Front:

Eibach going in tomorrow so I will remeasure and post.

So, springs installed. First of all, forget he height, the ride quality is vastly improved. I have the 19" wheels on and every expansion joint and rough pavement would cause creaks in the usual spots. Driving home was much smoother and the creaks were practically gone.

Rear:

Front:

Overall I'm happy with them and the wheels sitting hell of flush.

Yes. Please post with pics! Floor to fender on my base Carrera 997.2 without PASM measures 25.75" up front and 26.75" rear.

I found the best price on TH Motorsports. Go to the Eibach site to make sure you have the correct PN as I have found at least two vendors who were selling springs that they said were for our cars but they were not the PN that Eibach said was correct.
