Lowering Car

Thx! Go for it. You are going to love it.
Thx! The wheels do look great now. Wait until you see more pics below...
My car has the base suspension, no PASM.
Thanks! Big thank you to you for all the info you posted on the subject
More pics below!
Thx! The spacer decision was one of the harder ones in all of this process. Wheels width, offset, etc don't make it very straightforward. I went with 10mm front and 15mm rear and I would do the exact same thing if I did it again.

Your car looks amazing!! Yes. It's hard to describe how much better the ride is. To me, it rides not at all more harsh than it did with stock springs. Tom explained to me that, since it doesn't really bounce around as much, that may contribute to the smoother ride. I think it's hard to describe that certain bumps that I'm used to going over are smoother than before. More pics whenever you can!!

Three Wheelin'
Am I the only one not seeing ASTR's pics? I notice a few posts lately where all I see is an X and no pic. Arena993's pic looks fine though - very fine! actually.

Given mine is an S, my ride height should be 10mm lower when mine get installed.
I'm concerned about Arena993's report of degraded ride comfort.

Thanks! I couldn't be happier. The pictures don't do it justice BTW. It looks MUCH better in person.
Others correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that your car will have the same height as mine. The only difference is that your car will be lowered less total amount based on how much lower it is now compared to where mine was.

Your car looks awesome - I could not stop going out to the garage to take a peek at mine for about 3 mos after lowering - best mod ever. Still makes me smile every time I look at it.
Correct. Same ride height at the end. The S starts 10mm lower but ends the same as yours. No gulp required :-)
BTW. S is 10mm lower than Base Carrera. Factory SPASM is 20mm lower. Eibach/TechArt are 25mm lower. H&R is 35mm lower. Lots of options. And as stated earlier, the factory fits spacers - no issues there either.

100% get the alignment done
100% get wheels aligned it was recommended to me to do the drop and spacers drive it a few hundred miles eg. let it all settle then get the alignment done. that's what I did using techart springs and Porsche OEM 5mm spacers but depending on your tyre width etc. will dictate the spacer width. Here in the UK the tyres must be no wider than the bodywork. I did this mod over 12 months ago and it has been perfect ride quality is pretty much as before and the springs are keeping the hight right some others continue to lower over time which is not good

Thanks. You can definitely feel bumps in the road, but for an overall look nothing hits the spot like a properly lowered 911.
