Lowering Car

Finally got a free weekend to install Eibach springs. Interestingly there is no change at all in ride height. This is on a 2009 C2S with PASM. I have driven on the new springs for about a week and do like the ride. Ride seems a little less harsh and yet still feels very connected to the road. Cornering also feels better. Was hoping for a 1" drop just for appearance reasons, a little disappointed that the drop is exactly zero.

Very odd. Looks like you actually went up an 1/8"!! I would not be happy either as the expected drop is the biggest reason most go with different springs

Did you measure all corners? Maybe they will settle?

I have called Eibach and must say I am very impressed with their customer service. I talked with a tech for about 30 minutes and he asked questions and logged my call. Had me measure all four corners from the center of the axle to the bottom of the wheel well. All that he had the hard measurements for was a C2 and not an S and it didn't show as having PASM. He said my current measurements are .6" lower than what showed as stock, although we both agreed that about 10mm of that is because of PASM. He asked that I check the PN to confirm that I received the correct springs and to drive it for a few hundred miles and then check again to see if any settling has taken place. He said if nothing changes he would talk to manufacturing and see about getting a custom set built and sent to me that would drop the car the advertised 1.2".
Not much more you could ask for from a companies customer service department!!
Wheee, may get to get in there and do it all again. Although I bet this time I can get it done in half the time!!

I have only driven about 30 miles home since the install. Sounds like it is time for a weekend road trip!!

Having read many of these threads I can find little consistency in the amount that the Eibach springs actually lower the car and the effect on ride quality/handling.
Eibach and Techart don't divulge spring rates likely because they are the exact same springs and some people are just more comfortable spending more money on the Techarts as they think its likely a better product. Call me skeptical.
Re handling and ride quality, again the views are all over the place. As with the proverbial butt dyno improvements felt by adding an air intake , I suspect the ride quality seems better if you want it to be better. But again that's just me
If anything it seems H&R seems to be the most upfront and consistent. They don't hide their spring rates and the average drop seems to be pretty consistent

At some point it may come down to installing H&R, but I will at least give Eibach a chance to correct the issue.

Being in customer service for a large 3 letter computer company I separate customer service from manufacturing. Agreed, I'm upset that they did not lower as advertised. That is not the fault of the customer service tech, that is the fault of manufacturing and QC. The tech did all he could to help correct the problem. This, I appreciated.

However I may just go with the H&R's if I go with new springs because they just seem more transparent/consistent in what they offer

I had the TechArts on order but they were taking too long when I could order Eibach for half the price and have them here he next day. So, I canceled my Tech Art order.
I was going to install them in my own but Fabspeed is 30 minutes away and quoted me a decent price. Gives me an opportunity to check out their shop and customer service. Going in this Monday. Since I only have the base suspension (Porsche off-roading option) I suspect that it will make a noticible difference.

In hind sight I would have done H&R.

I put some Eibach's on my sons IS300 a couple years ago and they didn't come close to lowering the car as advertised. They were de-installed and sent back to Eibach for a full refund.
I've seen many posts about H&R's being the way to go.
