Default Tires

My c2 is going to need tires soon. What's the latest opinion on a moderately priced summer tire? I'm running Conti sport contact 3 right now and don't care much for the ride. Also does the c2s require a different tire from the c2?

I think the consensus here are either the Michelin PS2's or the new Michelin Super sports. Looks like you have 19 inch Carrera S wheels. Either tire is available in that size

Super Sports are the most popular and probably the best performing in the 19" size combo. If not driving too aggressively the Hankook V12 is a great set for half the price. I really like the feel of the Bridgestone S-04 also.

Give me a call if I can help!

Thanks, the Bridgestone is more in my price range. They don't seem to be Z rated is that so?. Is there any down side to mixing brands. The front Contis have a lot of life left.

Got the Hankooks... Forced balanced really well. Handle great but not for the very competitive.
Good Luck

Have Nitto Invo on my 09C4S...can't beat them for the price...a good price for a quality performance, no compromise tire. I'd maintain same tire brand all around. When all four are ready to go the second time around...replace them all. Otherwise...just do it now and find someone to buy the fronts. I clock 28K miles a year so I can cycle through tires rather quickly.

Michelin PSSs. All good. No 'N' rating... But WHATEVER. Great tires.

I have the Hankook V12 and it's an exceptional tire. Low road noise and really good grip. I've read a lot of reviews on these tires prior to purchase and they've all been really good.

+1 MPSS. Replaced worn Pirelli P Zero's. The MPSS's are very quiet.

Damon just sold me the Sumitomo HTR Z III XL, so far so good with them. The car had Good Year Eagle F1's on it.

I added the S-04 Pole position about 500 miles ago on the rear and kept the RE050's on the front (still good tread). I'm happy with them. They seem quieter than the old rear RE050's, better tread wear rating, around $50 cheaper per tire. If they hold up for higher miles, I'll definitely get another set.

The Hankook v12 sounds like a good choice, I won't be buying MPSS, too expensive for me right now. Maybe next time.

The ZIII is an awesome tire, but not available in the 19" 997 sizing unfortunately.
