I attended the 2017 Southern Arizona Region (SAR) PCA Cinco De Mayo Concours. - it's always a great PCA Event. I also had an unfortunate encounter with a tumbleweed on the drive home to Scottsdale :-) I'm so glad that I have grill protectors.

Installed my gloss black Carerra badge I ordered from Eric at bumperplugs.com. Really nice quality and it matches my wheels and exhaust tips.

Wow, that is a gorgeous car. If it's ever "missing", start your search in NY...

Got the rear 997 GT3 OEM Coilovers installed last night, hoping to put the fronts on tonight so I can go get an alignment tomorrow and enjoy it this weekend.

Default What did I do to my 997 today?

I vacuumed my radiator vents in my front bumper. I couldn't believe how much crap was in there including a cigarette butt. I recommend everyone take a look and give your 997 a little TLC. I just bought my car in December and hadn't taken a close look in there yet. I'm definitely considering vent screens soon.

changed a failed brake light bulb. Super easy, sourced from autozone. Next up - install new cats! and an oil change, and...

+1 on installing radiator screens, especially if this your DD. After vacuuming out my radiator screens after my first winter with my 2010 C4S Cab, I found everything from leaves to cigarette butts to Kleenex to feathers . So I bought the center screen from Zunsport, and the fit and finish are terrific. While the Zunsport stuff ain't cheap, it works great: 3+ years and it still fits perfectly and looks great. I also bought a set of screens for the side vents from Chicago996 on this forum - they look and fit great, and they're at a much more attractive price point (plus easy to install without having to R&R the front bumper). You should be able to find his posts on this or PM him as he has templates for both .1 and .2 cars.

Default Replaced Air Filter

I have had my 2005 for about a year now, and I can't believe I'm just replacing the EVOMS air filter now. It was filthy mess. Able to get the new dry version so no oil required. Not really easy to get the filter out since you have to pull the whole airbox out, and even then you have to flex the box's open end quite a bit. But it's done. Seriously, I don't know what I was thinking letting that go on this long. Cleaned up the engine bay while I was at it.

I'd recommend you get a K&N hydrophic pre-filter cover for it too. Rain goes right into the filter when it's installed in the car and if the car is running, sucks that moisture into the intake. The hydrophobic filter cover repels water for a couple years and will keep your filter media from getting saturated with water. I have the number for the correct sized one somewhere and also recently posted it into another thread here or on 6speed. Unfortunately, you'll have to pull it apart again to install it as there isn't much room to work it over the filter with everything installed.

Just another one of the little things that makes the difference. The S is straight, just a funky angle of the picture....measure 3x, stick 1x lol.

Thanks Pete. I will look into that. I appreciate your helpful advice.

Finally received my shipment from Ledermanz on Saturday, which was filled with downpour. After installing, I still went out and drove to make sure everything was aligned perfectly. I 've had PSM and PASM failure message pop up, but cleared within 3 minutes of driving.
