I had the Sport Mode Retrofit Software installed this morning. I must say that it makes a HUGE difference in my 08 C2S Tip! It was expensive but I'm glad I did it, it really brings the car to life and works great with my 991.2 steering wheel paddle shifters.

Morimoto headlights are a hot seller right now because they're on sale.

Fitted a shiny new aircon compressor clutch (coil had melted blowing fuse) and drive belt. Also tweaked the position of the rear filler panel between window and rear lid (was a couple of mil too high on the right)
Day 1, yesterday. Got up early and went to Checkeditout Chicago for a huge Porsche car show/block party. Probably close to 400 cars ranging from 914's to 918's and the new sport classic. All beautiful. Ran into a friend of mine who I know from other circles. Turns out he has a Porsche also.
At one point, there was a guy taking pictures of the car the zoomed in to the VIN on the dash. Hmmm... He asked if I was the owner and then introduced himself and said he was the GM of the dealership where I bought it from in NY state three years ago. I confirmed it was the same car, (one of two 6spd, SY cabs) and we had a very nice chat. I told him his dealership was a class act (Porsche Clifton Park) and I would definitely buy from him again (I would). He told me he just spoke with the former owner last week who completely regrets ever selling the car and wishes he had it back, I bet he does. Turns out the GM and his team were in town for a restoration challenge where they had a car entered as part of the show. Small world. He seemed like a great guy and a class act himself. I can see why his dealership was so great to work with. I'm sure we'll meet again someday.
Day 2, today. We entered the Milwaukee PCA Gimmick Rally. It's basically a scavenger hunt on wheels. A preplanned route with turn by turn directions with objects and locations to find. no directions or order, just things to find during a 70 mile loop. Vague description and grainy black and white photos of the objects. A particular sign or Snoopy mailbox, etc. List the location or the address to confirm you found it. 4 points per object found plus bonus questions for 1 point each. 20+ cars competed. This was my wife's and my first time competing and we took 3rd place. No prize, just bragging rights. My wife was a natural and navigated and was was the spotter. She was great, I just drove. Had to be completed by 12 noon and were docked a point per minute past noon. missed tying 2nd place by 1 point and would have taken it if we weren't arriving 2 minutes past noon. It was a ton of fun and we will definitely do it again.
What a great weekend. I love these cars.

Scavenger hunt sounds like fun. Did something like that but on foot when I was in the Army. Running all over post looking for crap. Can confirm it was NOT fun.
Installed RSS mounts in place of Function First. Slightly more solid connected feeling…not as much as expected, but it’s early days. Hopefully they bed in nicely. I’d initially been put off the semi-solid mounts due to noise and vibration but now I’m looking for that extra growl!
