Installed a new DSC Controller. Amazing how it transformed my 2011 997.2 C2S to perform as a ten year newer 911 while still retaining all the magic of the 997. Love it!!

EVOMMM. I am so sorry to hear that. I purchased mine from Flat6 in Florida. No tax or shipping. Quick install. First impression was “not much difference here” then I dropped my wife off and went for a “drive” and came home with a huge smile on my face. The DSC really is worth it it. I hope you get your money back from the scammer. Be sure to get one when you can.

@termite01, what shocks and springs did you have previously, and why are you switching back to the stock set up?

I am only asking because I have said I’m going to go to Eibachs and B8s but have hesitated since I really like the ride/performance of stock (and I live on a dirt road), and DSC has been a great add-on.

Thanks!

Full on detail on the old 997.2. Used 3M Finess 2, waffle pad and chemical guys black light wax.. any recommendations for removing towel love scratches? Wouldn’t need anything to gritty… clear lenses coming and 15mm spacers out back.. 7mm aren’t quiet there

Stock shocks/struts with lowering springs. Just too low for roads in the northeast….went to B4s and stock springs.

Thanks. Yeah, I’m in the northeast, too, hence the concern.
Thx!

Took it to C&C at COTA.

Yesterday gave it a quick wash, got state inspection, renewed registration, and ordered plugs, coils, motive brake bleeder and some stop juice!

Default Got my dsc today.

Now just waiting on my rear sway bar links and then I can get this alignment done and get back on the road! It's been about a month now after starting my suspension refresh project with coilovers and new control arms, front tie rods and changing the rotors, brake pads and new tires. Hopefully this thing will ride like a charm once it's complete!

Default Crossed a number of items off the to-do list

Started with wheel spacers, pulled the 15mm from the rear and replaced them with 20mm, then pulled the 8mm from the front and replaced them with the 15mm from the rear. The stance is pretty close to flush now and I’ve probably maxed out on spacers but no rubbing and the look is just about perfect for me.

Rennline 20mm hubcentric spacers w/ extended length mounting bolts, courtesy of ECS Tuning

Hard to photograph the stance, but a million times better than the factory wheel gap and tuck

While you’re in there, might as well top off the coolant, throw in some new spark plugs and ignition coils…

And for the final project, a set of Gundo modified factory NOS mufflers from an S

I’m quite certain these cans haven’t been touched since they went on the car in July of 2005

The Gundo mufflers, not the prettiest welding job but for $100 what do you want? The 2” bypass pipe renders a lovely low burble at idle and the car sounds just the way she should have when she rolled out of Zuffenhausen

The number of broken exhaust bolts was rivaled only by the number of scraped knuckles and expletive-laced outbursts. And why did those bolts on the muffler mounting bracket have to drop in from the top?

The final piece of jewelry

Special thanks to my local Ace hardware for a number of stainless M8 cap head screws, @Petza914 for his advice regarding said fasteners, Paul and John at @Soul Performance for their troubleshooting assistance, and Anchor Brewing for the last couple bottles of liquid support.
