Bought in North Carolina and driven back home about 550 miles to CT. Base '05 manual in Seal Grey Met with about 46K miles and some great options, including sport chrono plus, sport shifter, Bose High-End Sound, heated seats , NAV, and 19 inch "Lobster Fork" wheels. What a blast!
Hopefully it was a detour slightly west and through the mountains instead of I-95.
Sadly, I needed to get home as soon as possible, so it was I-95 almost the entire ride. The inside of the great old-school 997.1 cabin made up for the unsightly scenery.
I just love this optional sport shifter. From what I've read it was only available in '05.
Decided I was sick of the crap speakers that the PO had installed. Since my doors were apart already I de
on cided to go full bore with a three way set of JL audio stuff. I’ll probably do a bigger two channel JL amp to replace the little digital Ken wood amp I have under the passenger seat. But it is worlds better no than it was, I can listen to music on the highway now lol
Can you give us a rundown on components used and what parts you're installing with? I'm ready to pull the trigger on my muddy sounding audio. I have an aftermarket HU but stock speakers and sub. Pretty sure the PO yanked the amp and its just running off the HU if I remember correctly.

Alpine head unit. JL audio XR653 components, tweeter in dash location 3” mid in door and 6.5 in stock door location with a 3/4 thick spacer. I installed the crossovers in the door and ran a speaker wire thru the factory door harness up to the tweeter location. Tweeters press fit perfectly in stock location.
For power I am using a JL audio 400/4 amp under the passenger seat with front and rear channels bridged into two channel mode. No rear speakers. Amp on high pass at 60htz. No sub, I’m a weight weenie and adding the components and amp was all I could do lol. But it’s sounds awesome I’m very happy
@TheMurse enough twisties and it's no problem to keep up, and it's a fun challenge to see if I can start accelerating out of a turn earlier to reduce the likelihood that he pulled away for at least an extra half a second. Funny thing is, if I am behind him and my windows are down all I can hear is his car - my stock non-PSE is so quiet so I have to really focus on the tach needle!
I had my dealer order them at first but they canceled the order when one of the parts wasn’t available without telling me. Then I ordered through them again and when the parts arrived the price was higher than the original quote.
By the time the dealer has them others were showing in stock so I ordered from ESC (looking at the receipt now, it was $160 from ESC whereas dealer wanted around $240).
I was just recently shopping for spacers (if that’s what you’re referring to) and I saw them on other places… I held out for ECS …. Now their out again
FYI for anyone interested. I posted my carbon fiber ignition switch and light switch surround plus the interior handles in marketplace. I think I’m sticking to the white ones for a bit so the carbon is for sale for anyone interested.
