It was a lot of fun and a safe way to test the limits of my abilities and start to understand what the car can/can't do in real life conditions (we got some rain) and on a public (bumpy) road.

Had it detailed! Recently bought the car, and the dealer's definition of a detail, specifically, the exterior, is far different than mine. I usually do this myself having the Porter Cable orbital polisher, and Chemical Guys kit, but decided to let a "pro" do it. Shoulda done it myself! About 95% better than before, but missing that final 5%. I knew this black car was going to be a PITA.

Very nice! How many GoPros did you have operating, or did you do 4 runs?

Only one GoPro that I rotated around various positions (inside: sunroof & passenger window, outside: hood, hatch back, behind front left wheel, behind rear right wheel) for each climb. I managed to do 7 runs with the last one being in pouring rain (not included in video).

The final video is an edited version that goes through the road of one full climb.

Sweet! Haven't done a hill climb in about 25 years, but those I did, 2 runs, maybe 3 was all you'd get. 7!!!

I was the only one to get 7 runs. I was second to start and the M3 going before me bailed out in the storm. I kept going, just slowed down. Everybody got the chance to run 6 times.

Max BMW does a great job at turning the hill every hour (30 vehicles) with very few staff and we only had 2 offs (motorcycles) that caused minor delays.

Got this a few weeks ago. My first Porsche. I should have bought one years ago. Just ordered the Fabspeed primary x-pipe to be used with the existing PSE. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.

Saturday I gave baby an oil change and a fresh filter.

Today she got:
  • New spark plugs (coils were OK)
  • new serpentine belt
  • an alignment
