Installed front and rear Girodisk 2-piece brake discs on car. Pretty straight forward DIY except I found a nail in my rear wheel! Had to do an unexpected fix. Discs came supplied with 12mm spacer, bringing original 330mm disk diameter to 350mm. Noticed significant run out although each disk had a QC label that indicated less than 0.009" run out. Wonder if it is the hub bearing or from assembly tolerances? Run out is causing the pads to rub disks at different points as they are rotated.

+1 on the deep dish rear wheels. And MPSS are great tires to mount on those tier 1 Champions!

Default Added "vintage" 911 badge

I always liked the "911" in the Porsche font so I added a vintage 911 badge. My little tribute to the whole 911-50 anniversary thing. I'm not sure if I will keep it until 911-51, but it's easy enough to remove if I want to change to the modern 911 script later. Not sure why, but I don't really like "Carrera" on the lid.

That looks great! I love the retro 911 font and the black on gray looks perfect.

My key was a little beat up so I painted it with plasti-dip. We'll see how it wears.

I finally replaced my PCM control dials. Somehow they were chewed up like a dog got at them...and sticky. No idea how the previous owner got them in that condition, I wonder if they melt from heat? Anyway, Much better now

Do you mean the fan speed and air cond temp controls? They do wear off after a while. Can you provide the part numbers for these? 997.1? They are not on the parts list.

No, I'm talking about the circular dials that control the radio volume and scroll through the selections.
