If that's a 997.1, mind telling me how much hassle the plugs were? What did you take off to access them?

In the spirit of this thread: This morning I wiped down a few panels where 303 had gotten on them from my wheel well detail, and on the way to work, I braked extra hard - must have gotten some there too as careful as I was! I think the 303 bottle is a little too powerful.

Installed SmartTop and fixed my top creaks using some gummipflege on the rubber and synthetic bearing grease on the latches. Nice and quiet now.
Like everyone else has said, the SmartTop is simply the best mod you can do for the money and it's a 10 minute job to install it. Awesome product.

It was a bit tricky. I used the DIYs on this forum as a guide. Removing the muffler would've made it a bit easier but I had the car up on ramps and my only two jackstands were holding up the front of the car so I couldn't remove the muffler out through the wheel well. Trust me I tried to pull the mufflers out from the bottom but they just didn't fit. Lesson learned there. Plus I didn't have new hardware and gaskets for the headers so I didn't want to disassemble it that far either. Anyway, the forward plugs are easy. To get the ones under the muffler bracket I had to first remove the coil, then take my deep-well socket and stick it in the hole, then take my 6-inch extension and stick it into the hole and onto the socket, then take my ratchet and attach it to the extension. Loosen the plug then remove tools in reverse order and use a magnet to fish out the socket and plug from the hole. Putting the new plugs back in is just the same only use the socket and extension and turn by hand to start the plug to make sure its threaded properly before cranking on the ratchet. Apply German torque (gudentite) and reinstall coils. The rear passenger side coil I had to use a torx screwdriver bit and a 1/4 inch wrench because the bracket is close to the upper mount screw but all the others allowed me to use a ratchet and torx bit socket.

Nice wheels budda, but isnt the yellow dot suppose to be where the tire valve is?
Nevertheless, i got a tune2air bluetooth thingy and installed it. Thought i had a defective unit when the pcm could nit recognize it but it just takes a bit of time and finally after the pcm saw the connection all,was well. Great gadget!

Is the yellow dot a tpms feature? I dont have that anyway. If it has to be lined up regardless then ill take them back to get fixed

nvm I found the answer. Ideally they line up to make balancing easier. Oh well...

Just as it's very hard to make a tire or wheel that's perfectly round, it is also very difficult to make tires and wheels that are perfectly in balance.
You can help minimize the amount of weight needed to balance a tire and wheel assembly by mounting the tire so that its light balance point is matched up with the wheel's heavy balance point.
All new Bridgestone truck and bus radials are factory- marked with a yellow dot at the light balance point. Generally, the heavy balance point of a wheel is at the location of the valve stem. This is true regardless of whether the wheel is steel or aluminum.
