Not a Porsche tool, but I wish I would have known this tool existed a long time ago. Thanks to those here who pointed out its existence.

I've been getting CEL codes ever since I installed new cheap cats and I'm unable to get the emissions done. I tried tightening everything up and that seemed to help, and I passed the test last year, but not this year. Can't get it to pass. So, I decided to try MAF and all new O2 sensors. Yesterday, I installed the MAF and the pre-cat sensors. It looks like I'll need to remove the rear bumper to get to the post-cat sensors, so I'm tabling that job for now, waiting to see if the codes come back. On a 15 mile test ride last night, it *seems* to run better. It's an '06 C2S with 94k miles...

typical Durametric read-out prior to resest/ clearing codes

Thx Pelican!

That's great. How far would you say you dropped the motor? To the ends of the threads on the motor mounts or completely off of them and supported by a jack?

Installed an alcantara steering whee I purchased from another member here.

Yeah. Yeah. I should have followed the advice from the forums about marking where the top was of the steering shaft (took me 3 tries to get it lined up straight).

Had the oil changed yesterday (1yr 4500 miles), Liqui Moly 5W40 as usual.

Then I went to visit a friend at his warehouse. It never gets old going to visit him:

i had two jacks under the pan and carefully lowered it probably and inch past the threads. That made all the difference. It came out really easy after that.

Changed the oil today after 6,700 miles and sent a sample of it out to Blackstone Laboratories for analysis. Putting on about 1,000 miles a month. It is a daily driver and since there is no winter in Texas I can drive it year round.

Thanks for the info. I figure I'm probably on borrowed time having not changed the tank on either of my 05s yet, so will likely be doing this sometime in the near future, especially on the obesity with 105k miles.

Honestly, it wasn't too bad. The App set up and configuration was not easy either. The 4K image resolution from the front cam is excellent and I can watch events around the car from my phone whenever it's parked. There are so many cams available now, it's hard to choose! I'm just a little more relaxed after parking my DD.
The important question is which bourbon were you drinking?

Hah! That is a fun dilemma these days, with so many great Bourbons available. My typical go to is Eagle Rare, Blanton's when friends are over. I have a few ounces left of this:

Van Winkle is one I haven't tried yet. I have some good ones that seem to disappear pretty fast, especially when I have good friends over. I like Woodford Reserve double oaked, then Jefferson's, and the Bulleit line. Also have Larceny and Angel's Envy.

You guys are funny. I actually am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or sometimes called the Mormons so I don’t drink alcohol. LOL. I should preface that I grew up in Detroit and have been working on cars since I could walk. The first car I bought and restored was a Porsche and that was at age 15. I didn’t have a license, but I had a car. I love working on cars.

LDS Church is one of my customers for the high-speed digital paper handling equipment I sell. They use it to digitally print monochrome (black & white) bibles in multiple languages without having to maintain inventory.
