Did a nice 220 mile lap from DC to md and Pa mountsins and back. So much fun on the twisty backroads with elevation changes and sweepers. The AWD really hooked up on the roads with light gravel and sand

Jealous. Just got my baby back from the dealer. New high pressure fuel pump, and went over 45K miles on way back home. Covered by CPO, so no cost to me. Whew!

Yesterday it was unseasonably warm so I took a few hours to wash my car, apply glaze, sealant and two coats of carnauba (my first use of Wolfgang spray wax--the stuff is great). Then I sealed the convertible top with 303 and because I dribbled some down my back window, I had to clean that, too.
It was getting late, and I was a little groggy. I grabbed a can of what I thought was Invisible Glass off of the shelf and proceeded to liberally spray my back window with Meguiar's Tire Foam.
I now know why that Tire Foam works so well--it does NOT like to come off.
I removed my water pump! I can only hope that putting it back together won't be quite as hard.
Used guidance from our Marine advisor. (Semper Fi!) Removed my left exhaust headers to make it easier. Discovered a broken engine mount bracket while disassembling.
Can't wait to reassemble! Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

Getting the water pump out is harder than reinstalling, for sure. I got mine out without removing the header. I just unbolted the hard, black coolant line and took the large hose off the t-stat housing and slipped the line over the t-stat. This gave me enough room to get the water pump free. Reassembly is easy - just remember to use the 2 longer bolts for the holes on the water pump with metal sleeves.
I really need to add those grill mesh inserts as well. The grills were full of leaves and small twigs after my past mountain drive. Might get the Zunsport ones.
Took a little drive today covering 165 miles total. My house to Dahlonega, GA to Suches, GA taking the entire SR60 route which takes you into Blue Ridge, GA, then down Hwy 5 to Ball Ground and back to the house. Might have broke the speed limit once or twice, or 100 times. Hundreds and hundreds of tight twisty turns. Enjoy myself quite thoroughly.
A friend of mine is considering a 2009 Cab C4S so I took him for brisk ride in my coupe. He loved it and as always, it was a great excuse to get the car out for a workout :-)

Breaking the speed limit in a 911?!?! For shame!
