What did you do to your 997 today?

Assuming your car is the 4S in your avatar and you plan to do something similar just buy the 997 GT2 skirts and save yourself the trouble. They are bolt on for all WB 911s. EMC2 did this because he has an NB and they only come with the little mud flaps in front of the rear wheels with no attachment points for the sporty GT2 sills (and he did an amazing job as always).

Today? Washed it.
Tomorrow? Driving up to the Topaco Lodge in NC via awesome twisty mountain highways thru north Georgia and Tennessee and staying at the lodge tomorrow night. Sunday morning hitting the Tail of the Dragon and then driving back the same route we took on Saturday. 15 Porsche cars in total.
I'll take pics and report back on Sunday night.

last service before end of cpo. so, while my 2012 GTS was at shop, I had the privilege to test drive a 2015 GTS manual. look it, as good as my 2012 is, the 991.1 has it beat. overall, not by much but...enough. has me contemplating my options

Did a wash with a twist today, pressure washed it, snow foamed it, two bucket wash, pressure washer rinse and finished off with a DI resin vessel rinse.
I don't even need to touch it anymore for it to dry I left it in the sun as well just so I could check how it dries - usually a big no no for a black car!
So I checked my tap waters TDS in ppm and it was 105ppm, which means I have moderately hard water, after using my new DI resin vessel it dropped to 0.01ppm!
Which essentially means clean water with no contaminants whatsoever, no water spots anywhere, less chance of inducing swirls, just shine without having to constantly change microfiber cloths, no more trying to get it done quickly before it dries and leaves spots and the best part is less drying and more driving, now I just wash and walk away
Here's a pic of the vessel:

That's a really interesting product. I have gone back and forth for years about installing a whole house RO, reverse osmosis, system. Not only cleaner cars, but no water spots in the showers, easier to wash windows, and better drinking water. But, to be honest, my primary motivation was for the cars. Something like this may be the best of both worlds.

I am in the same boat. Love my 2011 gts/pdk, but may pull the trigger on a 991.1 gts when the proper spec pops up nearby. I am located in Orlando and have not seen anything within 200 miles. I prefer to deal only locally, and gives me an excuse to keep my 997 longer.

I dropped off my 2010 C4S Cab this afternoon for my long-awaited full front-end respray and a full front application of Expel film.... I snapped a few "Before" pics showing all the swirls, road acne and the beat up Bumper Plugs that will soon all be a distant memory after A&L in Palatine, who was HIGHLY recommended by you guys , knock this out over the next 2 weeks.
In the meantime, I'll be driving my Cayenne S to put a few summer miles on it while the Cab gets cleaned up!

Took one of the neiboorhood kids for a ride around the block. When we were done, he looked at the sim card slot on the radio and said "is that where you put the quarters in"
Does anyone even use that stupid thing?
