Default 22 cents of 3M double-sided tape.

After ANOTHER FFS $80 ticket I finally succumbed to the Vancouver Motorcycle Traffic Patrol, ordered the groovy Skene brackets and as a temporary measure installed my front license plate with 22 cents worth of 3M all-weather doubled-side tape. Who knew, right?

The motorcyle cops were really quite humerous, for once. I said "So have you guys got all the crime solved in Vancouver, junkies off the street etc... It's 4:00pm - short on your quota?" The older guy commented that they already met their quota but were going for the toaster bonus prize. Funny. The young guy said I got the prize for the most humerous and well dressed ticket for the day and he'd like to take my car out on his beat. Mmmmkoi.

P.s. OK, it's not sexy but at the same time, it's not too bad! Had it on a week and there is NO rubbing or anything, still holding tight. It's also blocks the center rad a bit but so far so good, car in no way running hot. I don't like the look of the plate up high on the bumper. Dorky. Sorry - I don't mean to offend anyone.

Sorry Eric (Bumper Plugs) but this post may put you out of business!

Joel

I hauled a small pony in the back seat and later a canary in the front seat.

Here's the pony...

I believe it will. Check out the product. It's a very very tough and has some give to it so it's not likely to crack or break. I like it as its very minimal and unobtrusive. A good temporary, possibly long term, solution.

Took "Moby" out to play in the rain to see how he'd handle the wet roads - he did really well. Then spent the rest of the day detailing him. So impressed by the paint finish on this car and how well it responds to clay bar and Zaino. Front end done, hoping to get to the rest over the next few days. Then off with his wheels to polish them!

Still working on convincing my wife that he needs to come into the living room to watch Top Gear

Took it out for a cruise today (its been in the garage since Nov. 22). It needed to be driven...ok, I needed to drive it. It was an overcast day, but the roads were dry and clear. Minus 3 degrees C (27 F). Supposed to get hit with lots of snow over the next few days. Glad I took it out, missed it. Always makes my day better.

Most recent... new wheels Eibach lowering springs and a four wheel alignment. (Driver's rear wheel was bent in a confrontation with a dip). Still to come, Fister exhaust, if I ever receive them from 'lister Jbellz18. (Payment made 15 days ago )

Update: Jbellz18 backed out of the deal, and is sending a refund... so, I'm back in the hunt for a Fister system. I think I am still on Darin's waiting list, but I have no idea. Who knew that something so simple would be so complicated?

No idea... I sent an email to Darin asking where I sit on the list, but have yet to hear back. Maybe he is on holiday.

Wash and dry for the week. Rims cleaned completely and trickle charger in for the week.

After hearing about my diy stone guard fiasco, forum member sent me two new stone guards for free. Great gesture and credit to the rennlist community. Thank you LennyG!!!!

Getting ready to order a set of yellow seatbelts, always wanted them.
