Hopefully it will. But I'm not holding my breath. And is this 36mpg/30mpg limit based on the combined cycle or just the highway mpg?

Plenty of 300hp cars are getting over 30 mpg on the highway. But getting 36mpg on a combined cycle is going to be really hard.

If some leader with vision and a little wisdom came along with a "put a man on the moon" goal for new energy that included a mixed bag of all the good stuff that's out there (natural gas, hydrogen, biofuels, on and on) - then I would STILL kick and scream about any talk of higher taxes but would be supportive of such a government-run endeavor if the free market were engaged and there were clear goals with deadlines, blah, blah, Ginger.

Instead all I see is the constant flogging of capitalism day after day with the main goals of the government being to punish, heckle, and annoy.

So guess we are going to become a country based on socialism. So why then am I going to school for 14 years if I just have to give away all my money to people who would rather sit on their asses and take free government handouts?

Human kind is naturally lazy. People would rather not work if they can still get paid. So once people realize they still get paid enough to live without working, more and more will just stop. So this is sad.

I wouldn't kid yourself that a different President is going to change this back to how it was in the past.

Hopefully a new executive will change many things.
