Default 100% Stock

This is my 100% Stock 2006 997 C2. After owning a number of Porsches and other sports cars for the last 63 years, this is the first one with automatic transmission. This non-S model is rated 0 to 60 at 5.0 sec., and top speed of 174 mph. I'm quite happy with the performance and I have no desire to change the stock wheels, spacing or ride height. I guess being 85 years old may have something to do with it. I still drive it hard.

It’s gorgeous. I wouldn’t change a thing either!

I also enjoy and prefer the original taste, Virgin appeal and classic appearance of the 911. My C2 is lowered on Ohlins coilovers and 10”/15” spacers only. Love the look and no plans on adding anything…

cool, for sure. But, for my eye, less is more. That Picasso painting does not need another stroke, so to speak . . .
The 997 looks great pure - No need for any add on wing/skirts/stripes. 18" wheels not as nice as 19" and they were an option I believe. IMO car looks so much better and handling improved when lowered 1.2" (H&R's) and most agree stock SUV height not so great.

As far as older Porsche's, I've always disliked any modification to any Porsche model appearance with 1 exception.
Early 911's 1969 models forward to 1983 had the ugly eyelid headlights and the European H4 design stock on European Porsche's looked so much better with the slightly tilted back full lenses. The only mod I ever did consistently on my early 911's and those models never needed to be lowered. Their ride height looked nice and aggressive. If anything they squatted over time and the 78-83 cars could be dialed up an inch on their stock suspension by Indy.
Other than that, stock appearance all the way.

Aero kit front lip painted matt black only modification. My intention is to keep it that way. Ah… will add the ”Carrera GTS” decal on front doors but that is ”stock”…

I’m not a fan of exterior modifications other than wheels, but to each his own. I am a fan of performance mods. I have this nasty habit of wanting to get most out an engine. In my thinking it can always go faster and sound better.

No mods other than stickers, I even kept the orange side markers!!
Butt-dyno says window stickers are worth +3hp, door stripes +10.
Wheels would be fun, Fisters would be fun, slighty lower would not be fun at the bottom of my driveway...

Sunrise and ready to roll, new rims..
Stripes, clear markers, lowering springs, Avant Garde Rims, PPF on the entire front quarter, Numeric pedals, painted center console, tint on the rear lights and center muffler delete. Still looks pretty basic. Coming sometime soon, deviated front and rear seat belts, new steering wheel w/ paddles, new audio system w/ blue tooth.

Nice. And 5 lug wheels on a GTS. Not a lot of those made. Many wish there would be more of them since the center locks have a lot of haters.

Thanks Sandwedge! I really like the look of CL wheels because it makes the GTS special, but you can´t have it all sometimes so I accepted the 5 lug spec and went for it. Now I kind of like them and they perhaps make my GTS even more special But if dreaming of the "perfect" spec (for me) I would like CL and the bucket seats... But super happy with my red love and it´s a keeper.

Agreed. I too had switched out my side marker lights, but any car with clear side markers is not bone stock or "pure".
