Anyone else out there also prefer the 997 in its more pure, un-jigged, un-decorated, unembellished form: no stripes, no wings, simple badging, stockish rims, etc.
Now, all the other stuff is tres

cool, for sure. But, for my eye, less is more. That Picasso painting does not need another stroke, so to speak . . .

I don't think my car is purist but I try to hit the "less is more" performance and look.

I'd rather have ventilated seats, than PSE. To each his own.

Agreed, but IMO they all need spacers minimum to get the right profile. I'm on 10mm/15mm now with a Narrow Body C2 base (18in wheels) and looking back would have gone 15mm /15mm. Might still do it....

Same Arctic Silver as yours. I didn't put the tints on mine (previous owner) but again I'm loving the look. I also have some stretch going on the back tires (PS4S 265/40), hoping to get these swapped for the new 285/40 or maybe even 295/30, curious if anyone else has gone this way with PS4S's on 18's and gotten a flush fit. Also considering the 911 emblem like yours, minus the S

I think some wheels and subtle lowering really add to the look of these cars.

That's the beauty you can change anything you want it's your car. I guess I kinda prefer a modified but still mostly stock look. I did the headlight washers body colored, I feel that's one thing that should be done at the factory. Lower suspension and and spacers would be nice as factory options too.

I saw a thread before where some mentioned “OEM+” which I think is how I like cars. Stock with subtle mods. Yes, my bright yellow aero kit is factory, and not very subtle, but still…..

Exterior is pure stock other than HRE wheels...inside short shifter and Tubi exhaust.

I do love the base design, but I also like options that add a bit more "masculinity" while respecting the clean lines and classic shape of the car:

I agree with OP. That's probably why I'm having a hard time justifying installing a ducktail, even though it can save some weight at he back of the car. I don't want to lose that sloped silhouette.

I feel the exact same way....I couldn't justify losing the classic 911 air vents on the rear!
