I'm not following the 997.1 market closely but what you refer to price wise is what I'm seeing too when I look at .1 cars for sale. I think the days of buying a well cared for 997.1S with maintenance records and reasonable miles for the car's age in the 30's are behind us. As you say though, with the exception of a cab/tip or cars that have been neglected and/or have well over 100K miles. That 100K mile number seems to be a psychological barrier for a lot of buyers. Many will argue that a 997 with 100K miles have at least another 100K miles to go if properly maintained. Maybe more.

Thanks guys, the rear wing was like that when I bought it. I think it came from Xteme motorsports. The wheels are Ruger Mesh and are 5 lug. Those are heavy and kind of cheap. I replaced with some lightweight O.Z. I've been looking for some orginal Carrera Sport wide body wheels. Pretty rare
Probably among the best sources if not the best for OEM Porsche wheels.

If this is the wheel you are touting as "...one of the best, if not the best, looking OEM 997 wheel..."
I have to disagree, vehemently.
They are look quite mundane and certainly not expensive ($1175): https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/991G1SDW.html
The best looking, IMO, 5-lug 997 OEM wheels, happen to be the Sport Classics:
Suncoast has them for $5700:
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU19SCWHEEL.html
They are the best OEM looking wheels on a 997, IMO, by far.
In non-OEM CL wheels, the aftermarket custom offset forged wheel choices outclass almost any OEM wheel.
Forgeline, BBS and OZ are lighter, stronger and more stylish (with aesthetically superior offsets) than any OEM 997 CL wheel- with the exception of the 997 GT3/GT3RS/GT2 OEM wheels:
Not a fan of the heavy Ruger wheels, but they look better (to my eye) than the silver wheels.
The Danish GTS is true car ****. Love all that leather. If it was a 6MT, it would approach the BaT blue unicorn in desirability (to me).

Replaced with GT3 wheels (best OEM 5 lug wheel)

No, the Carrera Sport wheels, not the Sport Design wheels.
These are the Carrera Sport below. They, along with the Sport Classics, are also the widest non-GT 997 wheels being 1/2" wider, front and back, than any other non-GT 997 wheel.
I actually agree about the Sport Classic wheels being the absolute best looking OEM wheel but they are very very rare.
My new to me 997.2 came with Carrera Sport wheels but a set of Sport Classics popped up and I pounced on them right away and snagged them. They are gorgeous.

I would venture to say 80% or more of the general public do not like the Fuch style wheels on a modern car. They really don't look that good. Perhaps nostalgia or just different taste.
I was over at 3 of my houses today with 3 bands I manage in there that are in town doing studio work during Covid. Most are car guys and my wife and couple of females were hanging out. I passed around pictures of the above almost everyone liked the RS Spyder wheels and almost no one liked the Fuchs or the others for that matter.
Now these Fuchs look good, but to me they only look the part on 70s cars mean for the race track.

Well, everyone has their opinions Doug but you would be the first person I have ever encountered that has not liked the Sport Classic wheels. They are a modern interpretation of the classic Fuchs design. Modern interpretation of a classic, just like the 997. I think they are stunning.

Lol, this is a GTS listing thread, not a wheel debate thread, especially for posting cars that are not even GTS.
Start a poll about wheels, but again . . . this forum is more of an enthusiast site and this forum is for those that might tend the old over the new design wise. Many on this forum also have connections with older air cooled cars so the Fuch or modern Fuch design evokes nostalgia or emotions perhaps more than objective looks.
My comment was what general public type of people that are car people, but not necessary 911 people, would think.

One of the attractions to me about the GTS is the look of the Center Lock RS Spyder wheels.
The above is entertaining for sure, but wheel debates could go on forever with nothing being settled.so perhaps great topic for its own thread.

I really like my RS Spyder. (Even though they have some scratches on them ).
In my opinion the center lock is just clean, amazing and special (I would not replace it for 5 screws).
I do not think it can be said that GTS with 5 screws is considered "special". Definately not! This is exactly the same as the GTS with a Standard steering wheel instead of a Sports steering wheel. It's like saying that a standard PDK steering wheel instead of a sports steering wheel is considered more special.
A special GTS will be such if it is a Special color or a Rare color. "Manual" may also be rarer (because of the limited production compared to PDK). I would not replace my PDK in MT either, but this is a topic that will always remain in the discussion.

Actually, Renn Liste kinda put down someone's wheels on their GTS that they were obviously proud of and linked an entirely different wheel than what was on the car. Then everything got narcissisticaly derailed and used as personal car photo op to make it about their non-GTS cars and and non GTS wheels.

The Spyder is not an attractive car and both are retro cars hence the retro wheels.
From that distance on the Classic, the RS Spyder Wheels or any black wheel with a polished lip would look the same in the photos as you cannot see any detail in the wheels, only black center and polished lip so the wheels really add nothing to these the photos from that distance.
The Syoder above is an ugly duckling inside and out. Would much rather have a GTS with the same front lip and same rear bumper cover with the RS Spyder wheels which is exactly what I have at this time.
Here is a new listing for a GTS cabriolet with 26,000 miles for only $69,995.
