This camera probably looks a little more clean than the one I installed, but I really like the center location of the one I installed. Looks like it should fit just fine.

@doclouie, I agree that the one you installed -- centered, etc. -- looks killer. Would not change.

Also, the reviews on the Volvo replacement one don't inspire a great deal of faith, FWIW.

Also the led on that lamp will shine white, only an issue if you want to keep the car period correct.

Reviving this thread. Is there a US distribution of this interface module? I’m debating this upgrade.

There is not, but Nick is stand up guy and shipping was only like 30 bucks. I don’t believe he is selling them right now as we are working out some bugs. I will do a full write up when we are finished. I have been overly impressed by his attention to detail and quick response. I do not know him except for buying the module from him, but I would do it again.

Did you get the latest software updates from the end of Feb? Mine is working perfectly save for the artwork on playlists from TIDAL, but I think that is more a CarPlay / Tidal issue as the album artwork does not always changeover in dashboard mode on the small info box.

Waze speed camera and sped limit alerts are great and work in the background or on the dashboard screen.

There were some teething issues but Nick resolved them and his customer service is second to none.

I am in touch with Nick almost daily, but I am not sure if I received that update. I did receive an update, but it was to get the rear view camera to work with the system. Maybe that is the update you received. I will ask Nick.

Update: I did talk with Nick and he said I have the latest update as I am helping him debug the systems.

So in the OP’s first photo, when you select “Home” with Porsche logo does it revert to the standard PCM display with all of the various screens and functions?

No when you hit the Porsche logo it takes you to the setup screen and other functions of the “magic box”. Long press the info button and straight back to the standard PCM menu.

Who is the London installer you used? I just bought my kit from Nick, and tossing up whether to install myself or get some else to. I am handy with the tools & electrical, but don't want to attempt the impossible if it requires years of specific 997 experience.

I have done the install. It is not bad just as long as you make sure the ribbon cables are secure. I am happy to answer any questions about the install. Don’t know Nick besides he sold me the unit, but he is a stand up guy who is very attentive and helpful.

Then long press Info button again and you are back to CarPlay. Love the unit.

I used Sextons London based in Wandsworth, they installed the kit and the reversing camera. Totally recommend them, speak to Jay or Jason.
