I have an AM radio problem. When I last took out my PCCM+, two white wires came loose and disconnected from the main wiring harness. I get fm but no am radio now. Can someone take a picture of their original wiring harness so I can locate where the two white wires go? Thank you.

Did I miss some procedure with a factory reset to use the new map sd card? I just put it in (upside down of course), went to display the map, and the unit worked. What's the factory reset for?

For reasons I cannot explain, if like me you had installed one of the "bad" SD cards that wouldn't show states alphabetically after NY, putting in the new card (for me) did nothing/did not work. The PCCM+ was in a perpetual loop searching for satellites. Factory reset and it worked. That's why.

If it works you're done.

Something you may try. Did you drive the car after the factory reset or did it just work without the car being started and driven? I tried as many sequences of Factory Reset as I could think of. Driving didn't help anything. I'm still in the condition of having perfectly good navigation/location working in states before New York. (Luckily I'm in NJ.)

Going back to the dealer now, but I'm sure I will be met with blank stares and "We don't know what to do now." I do have a case open with Porsche Classic, so I will probably try that route again. Their last advice was to go the dealer who sold me the card. Been there, done that.

Weird! I did have one of the bad cards. Drove the car for a few days without any sd card while waiting on the RMA, and then the new card just worked when put in. Perhaps those few days without any sd card prevented the loop-of-fail.

Just to update - I ordered these four cables from AliExpress on 3/26. They came in two shipments. One arrived (NC) on 4/6 and the other on 4/7. Came USPS. They are VERY small connectors. I don’t have my PCCM+ yet (weeks or months on back order). When it arrives I’ll install as-is for awhile to check everything out. If I can re-pin the Subaru plug to get the pink cable in and open up a pin on the 4-pin connector to know I can do it then I might open up the PCCM+.

I now have all the cables to re-route the USB ports but I am stuck on one point.

How exactly is the pink cable attached to the Subaru cable? Do I cut the red cable and just solder the three ends together like a Y?

And it looks like I have to swap red and black on my Subaru cable, correct. Then it matches the diagram of @Steve W

Can anyone help me please?

good luck. If it is a bad card, don’t expect much help from them. I ended up ordering another card from Gaudin after it was clear Suncoast wasn’t even interested in trying to help.

Just as you have in your pictures. Switch pin 1 & 2 and connect what was pin 1 to pin 4 of the 10 pin connector.

Here’s some pics I didn’t get around to posting.

Taped up

Shrink wrap connection

Wire soldered

Pins swapped and red wire out the back.

My individual memory will not remember the climate recirculate button. Anyone else have this issue? The old PCM remembered it.

@dph928 Thanks for your reply, but it's still not 100% clear to me. Sorry to ask again, I don't want to mess up my new PCCM
Wiring like left or right in my diagram?

Connect the red cable to the pink and do NOT connect it back into the pccm....the 5V feeds directly to the 2nd usb, that's it. Then repin the black (negative) to where you pulled the red from.

Below is correct but you only connect it to the pink and do NOT plug it back into the plug. Then switch your black one to the left pin and you are done with this end. (remember pin#1 remains inactive)

Maybe this will help:

John

My unit is allegedly shipping at the end of this month so I wanted to circle back and see if anyone has tried the “simple solution,” of just routing the front usb out the back and leaving the front non-functioning. With my level of tinkering I’m comfortable with that hack and it’s not worth the extra steps to have the front available for charging.

If anyone has done this already, which cable did you end up using?
