After reading through many posts of how most members have modified the exterior on their 997s in some way; whether its something as simple as adding a 991 lip or going for a Liberty walk kit, I find myself looking at parts I want to change out.
Ultimately I sit in the camp of to each his own and everyones taste is different. I like to modify all my cars as I make them more personal, sure lots of things are common place items and some are bespoke.
There are those who complain about Porsches becoming more affordable and becoming to ricey & others that are constantly thinking of ways of adapting or modifying newer parts to fit our 997s.
I thought I would put this post up to see members ultimate look - now Im not saying to have the $$$ to go out and buy a GT3RS or a GT2RS but with the current model you have now what would your ultimate look be? Some may have already achieved the look they want and some are still contemplating what they like or dont like.
For me I love the 997 GT2RS front end, a GT3RS rear bumper and a turbo rear wing with a GT2 style upper wing to have a more aggressive look - I love the functionality of the wing going up at speed
So a kind of mix between 3 different 997s! The ultimate front end for me!
Not mine, but love the rear bumper and I have the spoiler on order
In a perfect world, I would want a stock 997.1 front, 17 inch wheels on all four corners with a fat sidewall (315s in the rear), and no rear bumper. No ducktail, Aerokit or turbo spoiler - stock adjustable thing.

Sorry for the crap pic. It is my most recent.
My car is a daily, so this might not apply to everyone. Also, I would not kick an aerokit bumper or an OEM carbon hood out of bed BUT I drove 996-991 GT3s and kind of felt like it would be a stretch for me (just on a personal level) to daily one in Los Angeles. After looking at everything (but just narrow body RWD only) 996 C2 to a 991 GT3 (which at the time only available in PDK), I decided to get a 997.1 C2S specifically with the idea to swap the OEM suspension and wheels from a GT3 on while keeping a fairly luxury spec up top (18 ways, full leather, and etc...). This is after having the usual Civics and EVOs + a fully loaded B8 Avant with every possible box ticked. At this point, I am really happy with the set up. Besides the suspension and wheels, I added a a BMC filter, IPD plenum to GT3TB with X51 headers to Fister out. I think the last 2 things I will do is a EVOMs tune and DSC. I am really happy with the project. It is kind of what I was thinking the GTS should have been for a 997 gen. With whatever HP/TQ the car is running, I never use all of it in traffic. When I am alone in the canyons or on a lonely stretch of highway, I can use it all without worrying about jail time. I love how the car sounds but it also does not attract cops like my EVO with 3" straight through exhaust did. It also does not get the same attention as I got in my friend's 997.2 GT3 while driving it. I think it is perfect.

Reading all the comments above it makes you realise just how versatile, adaptable and individualistic the 997 is and can be.
DesmoSD - that car was one of the cars that put me onto the GT3RS rear bumper - the centre pipes adds some aggression to the rear end.
sandwedge I had read that post and while it covers all mods I was thinking from more of an aesthetic point of view - we all look at our cars as we approach them and most of the time when we’ve parked them and are walking away
After owning my car for 8 years and making incremental changes and upgrades, I have my ultimate setup for me.
At some point I'll strip the silver paint off the upper carbon fiber rear wing, have it recleared and that will be the final touch. Nothing left to do.
The quote "nothing left to do" isnt in my vocabulary. Pete, you are the King of Carbon Fiber.
Ha, I should rephrase - "there's nothing left to modify" - there's always plenty to do. Alright, that's not true either as I still need to install my oled multi gauge so I can track AFM in banks 1 and 2 and also boost and vacuum in the manifolds. While I had the exhaust off I had the bungs for the wideband O2 sensors welded on and I'll just plug those holes until I'm ready to do that project. Need to figure out a good way or place to get wires from the passenger cabin to the engine bay.

I feel you on that one!!
Pete, I understand why you would never want to sell your car, with the amount of time and effort you have put into it and also that it has a RUF supercharger kit on it takes it to another level!!
I think most of us are no where near your level of completion

Thanks, and you're correct - I'll never get rid of this one. The next owner of this stable will be my son - maybe my daughter would take the pink one, but she'd have to learn to drive stick to be able to do that, and doesn't have much interest in that, or cars in general. She likes to get into her X5, put it in drive and go where she's going.
