I have 30% and it's just right for me. It's not even close to the black hole as you describe 5% it but keeps the sun from baking you. Good compromise as I see it. I wouldn't want it any darker though approaching that black hole.

This is called Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). For example, one must allow more than 28% of VLT through front side windows according to Florida tint laws and it is 88% of VLT for the same windows in the sunny state of California. The Tinting laws are different for every state in USA.

I'm debating what to do on my car.

Currently being lowered and BBS LMs added on. The Sand Beige interior is so bright that I think a 50% tint will tie the car together nicely. Looking for a smoky hue.

Thank you, however, they are temporary. I have a set of wheels coming for her car. These are the OEM wheels from my C4S. I plan on putting a set of track day tires on them. I notice your location is Richmond Hill. GA?
