Yes, I agree with you.

However, the meaning of this DIY is that it can be switched as if it were a genuine function using the genuine center console switch and the water-proof coupler.

Unplugging the coupler is the simplest and least interesting method.

It goes against my engineer's spirit.

Hi @SOARISTO , please add me to the list for next batch! Looking forward to retrofit PSE on C2S. May build out with an IoT project using this device to switch automatically based on geofencing or custom CAN parameters.

Hi,

seen your instructions and was just wondering as the PSE cables were already connected at the plug end would it not have been easier to just cut the cables splice them rather than removing & reinstalling?

thoughts?

I'm thinking it might be as easy as moving a couple connectors. From what I have read, on the 996 the switch actually worked the way I described -- Default ON, push button OFF.

thanks!

Yes, I do.

That's a great idea!

Exactly 10 years ago, I made a circuit board, called "CAN Scanner".

And I tried having a conversation with my Porsche. Refer this article.

I think it would be interesting to control PSE based on various data from the vehicle.

Or based on data from a external GPS logger, you might be able to turn the PSE on and off when you approach your garage.

I think so.

My kit is intended to be installed without any PSE, so new cables need to be routed. If the cable is already installed, it is better to use the existing cable.

Be careful of signal disconnections and short circuits when you cut the cables.

I was reading will007s instructions, I was hoping Porsche had the cables pre installed for future use. 🫰🏻
