Where is that, zactly ? My oil press reads 4.5 - 5 most of the time.
TIA

Out with the old...

In with the New! Loving it.

it was a very simple install, maybe took 20 mins. However my horn isn't working. I'm gonna look into it this weekend hopefully.

I switched out my wheel for a newer style, probably a 991 or Macan wheel, horn works perfectly. Now...I have an older style wheel sitting in my office and when I took off the airbag...there don't seem to be any connectors inside the steering wheel that would connect to the car itself...does your have connectors?

Thank you! Yes my older steering wheel had connectors from the airbag to the steering column. I did connect the NEW connectors from the New wheel to the column, but no horn.

Again, this is a straight simple swap, no features on the steering wheel or anything.

then I'm at a loss unless you want to remove it and reinstall? possibly the connectors weren't seated properly? It's also possible that you might need a new harness in the wheel but I am certainly no expert.

turn *multiFunction wheel* to ON in the gateway module (via durametric pro/foxwell 530). the horn will then work. - even the dealers didnt know to do this until they were instructed to by their customers.

google prev rennlist threads on this topic to 100% confirm.

love your carbon wheel. Did it start out with multifunction or were you able to source it without?

not a fan of carbon fiber and yet I love your wheel! I changed out my wheel as well, but have the multi-fuction buttons which do nothing, so I have the manual blanks sitting on my desk...just not in the mood to remove the steering wheel again...

Hi! I´ve bought the same steering wheel for my 997 and I´ve been told that the Hub I bought doesn´t fit the 997, just 996. Can you tell me which Hub did you used to install your steering wheel? I will show the picture for the one I´ve bought:

Hi! I´ve bought the same steering wheel for my 997 but the HUB that came with it doesnt fit the car, it seems it´s for a 996, not a 997, can you tell me which HUB part did you bought for yours?
Do you have a video showing your installation process?
Tks!!
Diego
I´m posting a picture of my HUB so maybe you can see the difference.

@GT2RSobsessed any chance you still have the original sand beige leather shift boot? Ive been trying to find one everywhere but they all usually come with a **** for a ridiculous price and I only need the boot.

The MoMo hub is just a generic hub. It can work but it requires you to trim the dummy connector on the steering angle sensor.

The hub on my car is made by Works Bell. It's a standard length version specifically made for 997. I purchased it from Go Tuning Unlimited. It's plug and play with no trimming required It also comes with airbag delete harness with will prevent the airbag light from coming on and retain the horn function.

I love this thread. It's inspired me to do this to my 997 now. I have a few OEM Carbon Fiber bits in my car (Shifter, eBrake, Cupholder trim) so I started looking at flat bottomed wheels on eBay with carbon fiber and alcantara and all that jazz, but after looking through this thread, I think simpler is better. These examples look soooo good that it's hard to argue getting too busy.

Versus something like this:
