PLEASE NOTE
I've just received word from the Chinese Launch company following my inquiry as to x431, Torque and Turbo and this is their answer:
NONE OF THEIR CURRENT SCANNERS SUPPORT 2021 VEHICLES AT THIS TIME
I've asked them to please keep me posted when and which models will support the 992 specifically.

Thanx. As I mentioned, a friend of mine has an indie garage with the latest Snap-On analyzer. I'll be seeing him next week Saturday and I'll report back if that is able to do it. My reluctance to go with PIWIS is that I have other vehicles which the Launch addresses and alas the PIWIS doesn't. But thank you for your help, very appreciated.

Do you have a Mac or Windows laptop?
http://garageforum.org/Thread-Piwis-...ighlight=PIWIS
Here's the VCI:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005..._content=47843
But you should follow the other Piwis thread too-the VCI can't have firmware above 1.6.6 or it will not work-
Here's another vendor:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005..._content=47843
The eBay vendor jacked his price from $75 to $85 to $99 I think because of the surge of orders. On aliexpress the price is still lower-

Thanx, I'll report back next week. As I mentioned I have some friends that I help out who don't have VW/Audi/Porsche pure breds so if Snap-On can tide me over until Launch gets its act in gear that will work. If not I'll go the PIWIS route. Thank you again

Word from Launch in China is to contact them in the third quarter to check on 2021 vehicle support. I've noted a reminder in my calendar and will report back in mid October.

I would speak to the Lauch Tech USA people-those US market X431s are not the same as the Mini, V, V+ etc, as mentioned. For P cars, the PIWIS option is very affordable if you already have a laptop.
For VW/Audi, as I've seen you post that you already have the Ross/VAG setup, you can also get obdeleven and use it on your phone or tablet, very affordable.
A 2021 car is still under warranty-so I imagine you're trying to do some custom coding and your own oil and maintenance/reset service(?)
The Launch indeed offers the capability of scanning and working on a vast list of manufacturers, if you run a shop it is a great idea.
The new Torque III would seem like a good choice, but what does it offer that the Torque doesn't? The software updates will come for 1 or 2 years(check what they come with)so eventually they will have 2021 and 2022 cars.
You could also call aeswave and check out their blog for more info.
LTUSA website is kind of messy, and I don't know how easy it is to speak to them.
I had the same thoughts on Launch, it seems like a great choice especially if you own a shop and work on a variety of cars. I don't, just an Audi and a GT3, so that's what I need. It looks like obdeleven is beginning to offer BMW support-I don't know why they didn't just plan on Porsche support
Either way, keep digging for info

These are the folks I spoke to
Launch Tech Online-sale Support Team
launch-aftersales@outlook.com
Working Day:
Monday - Friday
9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Beijing Time)
Yes, I've had a VAG-COM for years and tried many times to get Uwe to do something for Porsche (to no avail alas).
I'm 400 miles from a dealer and do as much work as I can myself and always have on my various vehicles (Touareg, RS5, Macan, now 992 and my skid steer) as well as help friends with their rides. So yes, I have some custom coding I want to do on the 992 (similar to what I did on the Macan and Touareg) as well as oil changes, service reminders etc as I change oil twice a year irrespective of mileage due to temps variances and condensation.
So third quarter is not too far off and if my buddy's Snap-On analyzer is able to do some of the coding I want then I should be OK. So I don't own a shop but do have a bunch of vehicles that Launch is great for. TBH I do use the VAG-COM for my Touareg and a friend's Q7 since I'm so used to it, not to mention I just upgraded it to the long coding requirements so that's not going anywhere
I'll keep digging and keep everyone posted. Thanx again

Siberian,
There's yet another company you can look into-and I'd also look into the Launch Torque III, which as mentioned, is new.
This company offers 30 day money back/return-as with all of them, Autel, Lauch and Topcon, one can get very confused, or better put, there's never enough info to really compare them, etc.
Like I said before, I read what happened to the guys on the Ferrari and Maserati forums, they could only get all functions from the Torque version and wasted their money on the ROW Mini, V, V+ etc. Somewhat the same story with Autel, unless you get into their $3000 and above units.
Anyway, read through these, and maybe they can be reached by phone, set up a demo, etc:
https://topdonusa.com/collections/professional-series
They also have a more affordable 800BT, around $450 aside from the professional list-
But in your case, a PIWIS III for your 992 is the best bet and it shouldn't cost that much if you already have a laptop
