Time for a vaccum!
Tried taking the other piece off but it looked very ugly without it so i decided to leave it for now. Cant wait to get the proper panels and seat belts gone.
I was tempted to start removing the other panels, but was pressed for time. Interested to see how much sound deadening i can find under there lol.
Car feels great with small weight removed already!

Oh and biggest news!
I have a new phone on the way! 😂

If you're back there removing weight, that subwoofer is another good chunk of weight. The carpets and shelf are too. Added all up I'd guess about 50lbs or so maybe more.

Add polishing those exhaust tips to your to do list. They are easy to remove for a thorough cleaning (10 mm socket and an extension IIRC) and will make a world of difference. I had some Mothers metal polish in the garage and it worked beautifully.

Nice car and like Petza said your enthusiasm is great.

Did my first oil change today.
Car previously had motul 5/40 garbage in it

Put some mobil one 0/40 with a fresh oe filter.
car feels superb. Not sure if the oil actually did anything but car feels better than it did with the 5/40.

That's funny. The Motul xcess 8100 5W/40 (if that's what was in it) holds up much better than any of the Mobil 1 products. If you do UOA on your oil changes, the Motul addititve package maintains the proper viscosity index 1,000-1,500 miles longer than the Mobil 1 does, and that was in my wife's fairly gently driven C2S naturally aspirated engine. I bet with the heat from a Turbo, and a more aggressive pilot, the M1 breaks down even earlier. I saw degradation in as few as 3,000 miles when I try to do 4,000-5,000 mile change intervals. The viscosity indices were lower, the TAN numbers were higher, and the reduction in Zinc and Phosporous was greater with the Mobil 1 than the Motul. I've seen even better results with Driven DT40, which is what I've been using for the last few years.

To each their own though. At least it has fresh oil in it.

I’m pretty sure my motor mounts have seen better days, so i went ahead and picked up some “maintenance” 😂

cup car solid mounts and cup car engine brace!

cant wait to install these. Will update once they're on!

edit: also spoke to stanely at g box.
He told me the pdk lsd would work on a tip.
Also i think i will be opting for a g97.90 trans and rebuild it to gt2 spec. A much cheaper option than sourcing a g97.88.

Have you heard of other people installing these cup car parts to the Turbos? In particular the solid mounts, I've heard they can trip the knock sensors. The brace is also not a mod I've heard of people doing.

Congrats!! I'm just reading your thread.
Love that color and great that you are tinkering on your car yourself.
What part of NY?? I was born in Bronx and raised in Westchester....Move to Seatle long time ago.
Get that garage cleaned out and make it the Turbo's home! Don;t take a chance leaving your car outside at night unless you tie a pitbull to it
Send me a Carvel cake please.

car is being a major pain in the *** right now.

Bottom engine brace bolts wont pass the stupid muffler. Engine brace removal with engine in car is looking less and less like a realistic endeavor

have been working on rear bumper removal but im not sure if that is going to help much.
