Wanted to go a little retro and had some Houndstooth seat inserts made.

Cool..

What's the process for that. Remove the pieces and take to an upholstery shop?

Yes. The inserts come out easy and a local upholstery shop covered them. One day job!

I am a big fan of these and like the vintage look. Did they have to order special material?

Lucky to have one of the best Porsche upholstery shops here in Palm Desert..... Auto 9-1-1 Upholstery
They do quality work that can match factory levels.
People ship their Porsches from all over to Gerardo.

and yes they ordered Automotive Grade material, very heavy and durable.

Looks absolutely awesome! Love it. I considered doing the same to my 997 but ended up doing it on my Honda instead. Had to have some houndstooth in my life

A thumbs-up from me...that's one of the best upgrades (backdates) I've seen in quite a while. Nicely done

This has been creeping back since the 40th edition 911. I want the psychedelic 928 black and white if you have ever seen that.

What is the fabric? Isn't Peptia a type of woolen fabric?
