I've done a few upgrades this summer that have not made it into the build thread so I thought I'd post a few updates. In the spring I purchased a set of TopGear catless headers, new OE gaskets and Bosch spark plugs. One of the primary O2 sensors did not one to come out so I ended up picking up 2 new ones as well. I did not want to throw CEL codes for cat efficiency so I ordered a custom tune from Evoms, this also helped to extract some power and take full advantage of the exhaust mods that have been done. It is worth mentioning that the 911 pulls much harder after the tune, especially in the midrange and the exhaust sounds absolutely menacing.

WEVO Semi-Solid Engine Mounts | Function First Transmission Links + Mount Inserts
Next I wanted to tighten up the drivetrain, I found the rear end felt uneasy coming out of higher speed corners. I decided to go with WEVO semi-solid mounts and the Function First transmission mount inserts to improve drivetrain stability and provide a more visceral driving experience. After installing the the short throw shifter and metal bushings earlier this year I found that shifting had improved but still had a bit of play and a slightly rubbery feel. I installed the Function First transmission cable end links and the shifter now feels amazing. This set of mods really changed how the entire car feels, it's as if it got transformed from a luxurious GT to a more visceral and track focused machine.

Those look very much like gen1 x51 headers. I have seen them and planned to get them for my Gen 2 4S. Have You compared the sound with an x51 gen1? Would be REALLY interesting to hear. My 4s gen 1 x51 is unbeaten yet with its sound. (The GT3 not taken into account.) Looks really good!!

OK Im after that hollow sound the gen1 x51 gives its like a hollow roar at + 4000 rpm. The DFI engine is more sophisticated than gen 1 and the x51gen2 has no special headers, just the ordinary PSE system. Thats why im so interested in those headers, i bet You are much better of with YOur stuff than the gen2 x51 std setup

Thanks for posting. Your thread is great!
I'm interested in this quote: Can you elaborate?

I have center muffler delete and can throw efficiency codes (not warmed up enough). 997.2 C4S
