As 911’s age into collectibles mileage matters less and less
A 964 Turbo with 90K mi is still gonna do 2-$400K depending on other desirables (color, 100% OEM, etc)
Ship has sailed on 996TT mods

on the mods question… I have a manual 996 TTS with 42k miles that is stock, except for an phone cable that links to the OEM stereo.
I kinda want to upgrade the seats to 997 sport seats. I think they are plug and play, so would be easy to convert back.
I also kinda want to add the GT2 or Ruf front bumper, but that would be more of a pain to change back.
I plan to own it for another 5+ years. It won’t be a low mileage car when I sell, but probably still under 100k miles.
would those two mods significantly reduce the value?
I know it’s my car and I should do what I want… but seems silly to spend $10k on stuff that will reduce the value of the car!

Unless you are planning on installing fully manual 997 seats, I would not count on it being 'plug and play'.... But yes, the bases will bolt right in.

Thanks for the feedback.
agree entirely with the driving point. That is 1000% the highlight.
im leaning towards the seats because I find my current standard seats quite uncomfortable. I either have to push my *** all the way to the back of the seat, but be overly hunched, or scoot down into more a lazy boy slump. Either way, the back support is not good.
I also wonder about the Pccm+ upgrade, but my
phone mount and phone cable work perfectly well for now. Seems not worth it.
anyway,.. thanks for the input.

That 2003 X50 car with low miles went for $120k, wow! That's got to be a record.
Just realized the seller paid $131k for this car a year before. Good Lord.

What's an 01 TT 6MT silver on black worth with 100k miles? Car hasn't been started in 3-4 years, minor surface rust/corrosion in the bottom engine bay area. Some seals looks glistening with oil due to sitting/rot. Overall body and interior 8-9/10.
Great service records until 2014 where carfax ends since the car has been parked in a garage for nearly a decade.
$30k?

I've never followed one brand/marquee or model closely before but I'm fascinated at the wild variance and high to low price point differentials these consistently maintain. Seems like 25K$! up to $135K, as when new.

Lapis is a gorgeous colour - was the colour of my Carrera before I painted it...would have kept it Lapis if I didn't already go through so much already and the paint needed love.
Lapis looks fantastic over Natural Brown / Cinnamon, but Savannah ages and looks like French's mustard to my eye...I want that interior to look like Werther's Originals...
