Always nice to have input from the previous owner. I think that Aerokit pushed it up ;-)

For that car, it was everything, super low miles, great interior and exterior color combination and aerokit on top of it.

That's $110k all in. Low miles and desirable colors combos brings the big dollars.

Not X50 either

Handwringing over obscure options and colors will matter less & less moving towards the historic 30-year milestone

Ultimately this will overshadow everything, including other Turbo Gens…

The same engine crossing 1998 LeMans Overall Finish 1 & 2, is in 996 Turbo

(and 2001-2003 units actually used the same 964.. GT1-block part number!)

Even we haven’t fully grasped this incalculable magnitude yet

Finally a reason the 2001 is better than all the others .... The Feds are enticing the non-emissions states with road money to start doing emissions. Texas bit and now does emissions like California. The emissions exemptions kick in after 24 years. So for the 2001 next year will be exempt, which is great....because my car doesn't like the DPS machine for some reason.

The market will eventually beg on hands and knees for the 2001-2003 “964..” GT1-Block examples

Only a matter of time…

I thought it was by county? If you live in the boonies (BFE to a Texan) you don't have to get emissions tested or any inspection. I think...

It is by county. My turbo came from a non-emisssion county and it was a little more of a PITA to do the registration because of it. That said they only do an ODBII check and even with the Markski tune it passed. I can't wait to see if they truly don't do emission testing after 24 years since I have a MR2 spyder with an engine swap and standalone ECU that I have to swap out every year to get it to pass the ODBII scan.

I think I finally figured out who our prolific BaT cheerleader is.
