To me it's a little sad as these are still considered utility vehicles by some and they're 20 year old cars. Some of these prospects are just window shoppers at the end of the day really. It costs nothing to look and ask questions. Getting turned off on bumpers being painted on an old car? LOL

Were the rear rubber bumpers available as painted from the factory? It is an exceptionally nice color. Looks to need hydraulic spoiler rams repaired or updated, but hard to find one that does not after 20 years - despite low miles. Very nice car.

I would rather stick a fork in my eye than give business to Luxsport, but it is a very very sweet car indeed.

No, but these, and the painted front bumper / door handle keyhole plugs, have all evolved into the “OEM” lexicon of Classic Porsches through the masterwork of Rennlist sponsor Eric Sklut at Bumperplugs.com

Eric’s work is unimpeachable even by Pebble Beach Concours judges

$80K for a non-X50 red, with the wrong headlights, the wrong options sticker, repainted front end, wrong wheels, etc. etc. etc. Trashed interior too.

Boggles the mind where these last Mezgers are heading

I would suspect previous front end damage with incorrect headlights and the option sticker not matching several online sources. I am amazed it went as high as it did. Aerokit and non-metallic paint are always going to bring good money though.

They would really have fun with my TTS. It came with no option sticker on the hood. Not in the manual either. There are two other factory labels on the hood, but no option sticker. I understand this was supposed to be placed by the original dealer but I’m not sure. I’ve heard of others without it as well.

That car looked janky for BAT standards. People are just obsessed with the 25k miles it seems. Looks like a proper money pit; wrong lights, ugly wheels, ugly interior.

Just asking and getting educated. Why are these headlights wrong? 996.1 orange fronts? Thanks.

It has the strips at the front of the headlight indicating that they are GT3 or Carrera litronics, the turbo headlights don't have the strips.

They're fluted lenses versus all clear. Those came on the non-turbo cars.

I have seen that said about the sticker being placed at the dealer a few times on rennlist. There used to be a factory tour video of I think a 993 being built on Youtube that showed the sticker being applied at the factory at the end of production. That very well could have changed with the 996 however. If I was a buyer I would assume any 996 that didn't have the sticker had the hood repainted at some point but I am not the trusting type,
