How about this beauty https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=305017249 it looks just as mint as the 571 mile car, no x50 as far as i can tell. The comments from Cargurus made me laugh, usually they say if its a good deal, great deal etc., instead they just say
UNCERTAINThe price of this vehicle seems too high. It may have custom equipment or be mislabeled.

No sale at $121k. If I was selling it I would have taken $121k.

Made me wonder what the reserve was.

That's a hell of a bid, especially for a car that isn't entirely special, aside from the mileage and X50 option. The seller/estate might be unrealistic about this one...
I remember seeing this on eBay a few months ago with a $100+k asking. Can't recall the exact number

The power of not accepting $121k through BaT is that it would have cost the buyer $126k due to the maxxed out 5% 'Buyers Premium' that goes to BaT but the seller would have only received $121k. Now that it failed to meet reserve they can make a private deal at $126k and the seller gets the extra $5k instead of BaT, and it cost the seller only $99 to reach the audience that he/she wanted to. There is strategy involved and this happens more than people probably think.

You're right, but it's not hard to get in contact with interested parties though. The auction site owners don't want to make it easy as they want their revenue, as they don't keep the lights on too easily with the $99 listing fees alone. Since I'm a dealer and know plenty of other dealers you can be sure I get to hear these stories a fair amount of the time. Where there is a will, there is a way...and on anything that hits the 5% cap it's an easy $5k of negotiation room for a deal that doesn't make it to reserve. Granted on a 7 figure deal no one would care, but at the $100k price point it can still be a good negotiation.

Absolutely....
Nice car, but not really what a real collector would be looking for IMHO, and absolutely top dollar as just a low mile Turbo.
I mostly see 70,000+ miles and 19 years worth of lost driving opportunity...

I am super curious about this one. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-cabriolet-60/ its almost identical to mine except it has black interior and i have gray. I have to say the black looks better but in a convertible with the florida sun i specifically did not want the black. Mine has ~20k less miles but this one has some interesting touches as it was a 'Launch car" -- Anyway the best is someone just asked about IMS on the Turbo model, dollars to donuts that person is not bidding.

Hell, that's techweenie's car. I'd be surprised if he doesn't stop by here to comment.
