Why didn't they bid on the car?

I agree. In fact some of those, like the scrotch harnesses, destroy value, as they are strongly disliked by the majority of buyers. I guess that BaT is so huge now that you get enough buyers' attention even if you're targeting a small percentage of the total buyers pool.

I more or less go for the low mileage pristine car. I would have no problem if it was modded provided it was done right. My dilemma is whether to start modding mine with a Marski Tune, Kline or Unobtainium Welding Exhaust.

The Markski tune changes the car completely. It's amazing.

Sold for $62,828 plus buyer commission.

Looks like rael was the closest guess at $62,000.

The interior looks a bit blemished as well. I could be wrong on the price, as I often am.
Who else needs a free appraisal?

Thanks! This one and the ebay/craigslist one have been around a long time, but they are still fun threads.

I wish I could "sell" my car on BAT just to see how much I would get, but not have to actually sell the car because I want to keep it.

My mileage is too high and my car is heavily modified so it definitely wouldn't get numbers like these, but it'd be fun to know.

I agree that the color combo hurt the car. 996 Turbos should have a certain look, this car didn't. The swapped stereo turns a lot of guys off too. Still it topped $62K.

Can you explain the “look” needed?

I detect sarcasm. Not a la di da color scheme. Now if it was Lapis Blue with that interior you may be on to something.

This car has the "look"

I'm watching that one closely because it's modified similar to my car, so it's a reasonably close gauge to what the market is like for a car similar to mine.

I know what I think a look should be but not what you think the look should be, so I was asking you to explain your opinion. You said it didn't have the look. There is no sarcasm here, simply asking for you to explain.

And yes, I did see your original response.
