So not much fog in the ATL.

How often do you drive your Turbo in fog?

It depends on where you are in ATL. The airport can certainly be a fog magnet, and the Hootch can be foggy. But I have never kept track of the number of fog events I drive in annually.

'Mordor' in North America is in fact been renamed "Morden, Manitoba'. I have been there, it is absolutely miserable.

I did not, however, I did ramble on away from there as quickly as I could.

Since it’s kinda slow in here, I’ll post the link to my ‘75 914 on BaT. It ends on Thursday late afternoon:

Went for $160K, so $165K out the door after the BAT fee. There were a lot of unknowns with it however. Car was painted on both fenders, doors, rear quarter, bumper, and spoiler, essentially 60% of the car had paint work. Someone originally painted orange graphics on it and there was no way to get them off other than repaint. The wheels were also repainted as they were painted orange by previous owner. The OEM Perlon seats were missing with aftermarket recaros fitted, OEM fire extinguisher was missing, front cage section missing, front hood option sticker missing (possible hood replacement?), OEM brake ducts missing, rear parking brake incorrect without the GT2 script, and a mileage discrepancy recorded on CarFax due to possible KM to mileage recording error. All of these were not deal breakers and could be brought back to OEM with some patient searching and about $15K in parts. The biggest issue is the repaint which to my understanding was very good but noticeable from a few feet away. With original paint and all OEM part present, this would have likely fetched $200K+

^ Nailed it.

And $165k is nothing to sneeze at. $165k buys you a brand new GT3.

It was a federalized import too. A 959 is one thing, but GT2’s are already plentifully here. “Clubsport” yada yada but like you said lots of that stuff was either botched or missing. I think $160K was all the money.
