Not for weight savings?

I presume it was included in X47 "Shift Lever in Carbon Fiber".

Could be. I only have order guides/option lists available for 2001 and 2002. There is no X47 option in either guide.

In 2002 there is an option code Y05 "Carbon/aluminum shift **** and brake handle." No mention of a horseshoe, but I'm guessing it came with one.

I agree, there is no "X47" in the 2003 order guide either. There is "Y05", so I presume that the "Y05" was a package that included X47 Shift Lever in Carbon Fiber and X58 Park Brake Handle in Carbon Fiber. My car has both of these in carbon and they are listed on the options sticker, although Y05 is not.

Maybe it was ordered under Exclusive Options?

The 2001, 2002, and 2003 PCNA order guides don't list X47 as an option. The '01 and '02 order guides don't list it as a conflicting option under either the small or large carbon options.

My car is also 09991 "exclusive", which I had thought was because it was originally a Tourist Delivery. Perhaps the X47/X58 would be another reason.

I just noticed I also have 09991 on my 2002 frunk sticker, I just found out my car has x50 option but it's not on frunk sticker, but on build sheet and window sticker. What does manufactured from exclusive program mean
